SUNDAY MORNING CLASSICS ON TBP

A collaboration of: “The Classic Music Mafia”
nkit, and Steve C.

Every Sunday morning we present selections for our TBP family to enjoy.

We present symphonies, ensembles, quartets, octets, etc.

Not all of our music is strictly ‘classical’. We may stray a little, but we strive to make all of our selections ‘classy’.

We offer tips on proper ‘symphony etiquette’ and even some selections that are a bit light-hearted and fun aimed at a younger audience. Those pieces will be so designated, and might be a good way to introduce kids to a world of music that they might not have been exposed to or think of as old and ‘stuffy’.

A full symphony will run as long as it will. We don’t want to cut a symphony short. However, we also include some shorter pieces that we try to keep under fifteen minutes in length. You can sample each and hopefully find one or more that pleases you.

We hope that you enjoy our Sunday selections.

ABBA – Chiquitita (Spanish Version)

I had a friend from Panama who said it seemed very strange to hear them singing in English since they had released a number of songs in Spanish in Latin America.

The Next Three Come To Us Thanks To ursel doran.

ABBA – Does Your Mother Know

THANKS MUCH as usual Sirs for this Sunday fun fun.

ONE of my favorite ABBA tunes here. The thumping beat and the lyrics really get the youngsters moving.

HD – Yuja Wang – Prokofiev Piano Sonata No. 7 in B flat major, Op. 83, III. Precipitato

I get satiated with her daily on my big screen, but these goodies here will do ya for now.

Hope this will get you by for a short time. May have put these up before?

THANKS for all the massive efforts you do for the Friday fail.

Isn’t She Lovely

Let’s take a short ride from Kranj, Slovenia to the Music Academy at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia to hear some other equally talented musicians.

You may remember the name “Ljubljana” from the Orkester Mandolina Ljubljana selections we presented in the past. Apparently, the area is very rich in musical talent.

Today, we’ll hear yet another group of musicians known as the Ljubljana Academy of Music Big Band.

Let’s listen to them playing a Stevie Wonder hit – “Isn’t She Lovely.”

Yuja does a Prokofiev piece. She mentioned once in an interview that she liked the necessary aggression that Prokofiev’s work required, and here she attacks it with great vigor!!
