If it were about the environment, Tesla buyers should face a tax surcharge due the ecological damage of strip mining lithium in Chile, shipping it to China to make the batteries and shipping it to the US so that rich liberals can feel smug.

The only consolation is knowing that Tesla owners have to own another real car in case they ever need to drive more than 200 miles straight or want to use their AC or heater. It’s funny how I see a lot of Teslas on the road when it’s 75F and almost none when it’s -5F.

Those morons probably think “well, at least I’m saving gas in the summer”, never realizing that their EV is powered by our local nuclear plant and that everyone having to own a spare car isn’t exactly efficient.

Why … I’m … gabberflasted … totally … that GM would do such a thing.

What’s good for GM is good for America … I recall hearing that slogan in the ’50s as a kid …

When daddy gubmint bailed out most of the auto makers in 2008 because they were ‘too big to fail’, I was of the mind to let them fail. I do believe that others would have stepped in and bought the pieces and continued making the vehicles.

The industry leaders have struck up the old refrain: “What’s good for General Motors — and Ford, Chrysler and American Motors — is good for the U.S.A.,” and one could almost hear the Carter administration singing “amen.”

May 18, 1980
The Carter administration this past week shouldered the burden of the U.S. auto industry, accepting a share of the responsibility for its survival.

The sad part is Americans will line up to “do their part” since uncle Joe is being so generous. There is no end to stupid.

Biden has done nothing but F*** this country up. He is the worst president in a long history of really bad ones.
