So I have a spare charge controller. 2 actually but one is cheap and I would not rely on unless I had no option.
Panels should last 20+ years. Have gravity feed water and a small turbine, but not using it. Panels supply enough.
I have a couple of spare inverters. They are undersized for my current needs but would work fine if I drop a couple of luxuries. The main one is high quality and should last indefinitely.
Batteries (LiFePo) I have should be good for a minimum of 10 years as the reserve is oversize and thus only ever mildly discharged.
Should I need to, I can make lead acids. I have 40+ dead ones stored for material.
Reading up on making some Edison type nickel-iron ones. Might make those as they last forever.
But if civilization crumbles entirely, not sure I want to stick around anyway. I have had plenty of decades lived already. If I drop tomorrow, I have not been cheated out of time. Once the scotch runs out, WTF is the point of living anyway? 🙂
