Once again showing how completely out of touch with reality they are, the Biden Administration’s Energy Secretary has suggested that Americans facing hardship as the cost of living spirals should buy solar panels.
Appearing on Fox News, Jennifer Granholm touted so called green initiatives under the Orwellian titled ‘Inflation Reduction Act’.
“If you are low income, you can get your home entirely weatherized through the expansion from the bipartisan infrastructure laws, a significant expansion — you don’t have to pay for anything,” she claimed, adding, “”If you want heat pumps, insulation, new windows, that is covered.”
She then advised lower middle class Americans to take out credit to get solar panels.
“If you are moderate income, today you can get 30% off the price of solar panels. Those solar panels can be financed, so you don’t have to have the big outlay at the front,” Granholm stated.
She continued, “If you don’t qualify for the weatherization program, you will be able to, starting next year, get rebates on the appliances and equipment that will help you reduce your monthly energy bill by up to 30%. That is all about reducing costs for people.”
The comments come after months of Granholm and other minions touting electric cars, which cost over 60 grand.
The backlash was swift:

I saw it in the ’70’s … when I was in grade school. It took me years to realize it – I’m sorta slow.
Back where I come from, we used to recite the Pledge and the Lord’s Prayer before starting the school day. It would rankle me from time to time to do this sort of rote behavior, even as a kid. Some of the other kids would get annoyed when I’d occasionally sit out of boredom, long before I’d reached the age of choosing a moral epistemology for myself. In those days, I went to school with the children of sectarian Baptist and Pentecostal zealots who’d occasionally take their youngsters out of public education simply for religious reasons. I didn’t know it then, but the issues were real and it was something I saw from a kid’s point of view
Then one day, out of the blue, I asked my third-grade teacher, a woman I despised, why we no longer did the morning rituals. She disliked me because I was a trouble-making nuisance, but her answer was blunt and dismissive.
“You wouldn’t understand.”
Fifty-some odd years later, I realized her point. It’s sort of pointless to discuss supposedly sophisticated or complicated things, but I never forgot he attitude and total lack of making an effort as a so-called “teacher”.

Well not exactly – that 30% is a tax credit that you can use to offset your Federal tax bill, If you’re low income and don’t make enough to where you don’t have much of a tax bill, then that tax credit doesn’t do you any good.

Just buy the panels any which way you can. Deal Drugs, prostitute, rob people for money; its all good. After making your purchase, or stealing them from the city or your neighbor, just lay them on your roof or in your yard and waalaa your saving 30% on electric bill. Its that simple.
I noticed a guy installing solar panels on a roof. Don’t know if it was the homeowner or someone representing a company. I watched for a few minutes and decided nothing I’d be interested in doing myself especially on a 100 degree day in Texas. The “installer” actually looked perplexed. Not sure the expertise required to install such a system or the heat melting the brain cells.
