They say when adrenaline is rushing that you won’t even notice. When I practice with my carry guns I try not to run hearing protection because it is a more realistic scenario. Even the 40 is a little loud. I have a small Glock 380 that isn’t too bad, but it is a 380. You do bring up another point though and that is control. Those little 357 magnums are wrist breakers so I would need to practice much better control than I do with my 40.
