Will be heading to the first storage units close by,if survive of course, those things are slam packed with all the good plastic chinese crap people bought and hardly used. Winning!
Note to preppers from the good book of Tyrone: Get a good wheelbarrow to haul all that stuff back to your hole, save your back as you will need it.

The divine is present always and forever. It will be as much a part of the bright flash and the burning fireball as it will be a part of us all living in peace. How could it be otherwise? Not wanting to linger, suffer, and die of radiation poisoning is as valid a choice as any other.

It has been said that the Cherokee were less savage that many other tribes. (HA!)
I dated a girl for a year or so, she was about 1/2 Cherokee. When she a little aggravated you did not want to be in her presence and you sure as heck didn’t want to go to her family’s place for dinner that night.

I was in Texas in 1997 and spent some time in a reservation there – I still have their magical music on CD. I play it sometimes to help with my meditation. True humanity is rare these days but is alive and well in hidden places where these persecuted people live. The same is true in South Africa. Being south of the equator offers good survival chances in the event of a nuclear exchange. UK is not where you should be.

The problem is that the elites, in their bunkers, actually believe they could survive such an apocalypse. The poor dears have no idea and even less information about what radiation does to the human frame. I learned all about this in Belarus in 1994 which the doctors and scientists use as a human laboratory to study the effects of radiation on the human body. YES really!

They used Geiger counters — named after Hans Geiger, a German scientist from the early 1900s who worked on detecting radiation — is an instrument that can detect radiation. We tested ourselves which revealed that we (from the West) were more radioactive than the residents. Why? Because I live 30 miles down wind of Hinkley Point Nuclear Power Station and they said they leak! A big giveaway IMHO.

Yes, total nuclear war is survivable, the elites are right, so long as you remain isolated for at least a week underground with at least 2m of solid earth above you. The modern weapons are not as toxic as those of the 1950s and the fallout is fairly – nay relatively benign. I am fortunate in SW England with a bunker beneath my cottage by historial accident.

Protect & Survive is my watchword:

LOL – yep so you don’t need to worry about a funeral – you are already in your grave! We had extensive briefings on dealing with nuclear attacks when I was in the HMG War Office in the 1960s. And further updates in the 70s and 80s because after I left for greener pastures (pun) we are always kept on standby. Once in the HMG fold you can never leave – California Hotel style.

This is why I call my Substack, ‘Protect & Survive’ referring to the HMG leaflet issued in the 1980s and linked above – scroll down to the recent Daily Mail article where you will see the leaflet in detail.

you don’t need to worry about a funeral – you are already in your grave!

To proceed with future funeral arrangements or not to proceed with future funeral arrangements? Nuclear holocaust or no nuclear holocaust?

So far the approximate cost of funeral arrangements for wife and I :
Headstone , single one with both names, $1434
Individual headstones: $1800 for both
Funeral arrangements, no frills caskets ( some kind of heavy duty cardboard but strong enough), viewing at funeral home, burial and of course body preparation: $4500 each
Cemetery plots: no charge, small community cemetery for peeps with long time pioneering family in the area (that’s me). Markers are in place, our spots.

Have to make $ arrangements now. Take chance we are not disintegrated first. Won’t matter either way. “Responsibility” factor, kids won’t have to deal with arrangements, highly advisable. And no reason to spend more. Save with cremations but not going that route. Buried the old fashion way. Really nice big oak shade trees to keep us cool during Texas hot summers.

Ah yes buckup, thank you for your costing. When I was in Texas, Bandera, I was amazed at the massive size of the state and the extent of the space you have there. United Kingdom is approximately 243,610 sq km, while Texas is approximately 678,052 sq km, making Texas 178% larger than United Kingdom.

So you certainly have enough space for a little grave. I too have made preparations for my wife and I here in Britain. We have a simple system:
https://www.simplicity.co.uk/advice/no-funeral-just-cremation

I have checked the fees against my own DIY plan and their charges are reasonable given the service offered. There will be additional documentation fees, death registration and authorised copies of the death certificates (at least 20 required in our case at £12 each – what a racket!).

Anyway, I shan’t be worrying about it as I am off back to planet ZOB! 🙂

Np on the cost estimates. When my stepfather died the Catholic services were extravagant although I don’t believe his church charged anything for the church service. At least I hope not! Dad had it all arranged ahead of time. Being the black sheep of the family I’m not privy to what the total cost of his funeral. No clue, perhaps touching 15k just for him. Mom’s still with us but I’m sure the costs for her will not be shabby.

Our approach is the least amount of $$ and like I said we have to make “reservations” in order to get “today’s” prices. As far as “investments”, while it won’t matter when one is deceased so much other than I do want to leave the kids something, preparing for a funeral today could be comparable to “investment” prepping at today’s prices as chances are funeral costs will increase like costs of everything else may increase. I’ll check your simplicity link. Yes there are additional costs like the death certificates etc. I suppose. My figures are the bulk with those that provide the headstones and preparing one’s body for the dirt. On the headstones there is an option for additional info on the stone. You get so many words engraved like perhaps a Bible verse but if you want more it costs a bit more.

On Bandera , we discussed your ’97 trip before and while it does not appear you have intentions of relocating to Texas , there IS a town in that area of Central Texas named Utopia. Just an FYI. 🙂

I love it Buck, I really would enjoy being with you in Utopia! 🙂
My father, on his death bed, offered no material gain for me, but his signet ring which I wore proudly in honour of a father of wisdom and honour.

His legacy to me was priceless – it was his knowledge and wisdom of a life well lived in service to others – it was a model which I could not deny – I am my father’s son. And it saved me eventually, from myself – my ego, which grew on one shoulder whilst my Creator grew on the other and the eternal conflict was set.

Well, I am pleased to say that after 78 bloody years of searching for my mission – of angst and disaster from which I was saved by my guardian angels, I am with my master YHWH on His narrow path off which I have regularly fallen. This is my earth walk:

We have paused the sale of Funeral Plans from 14th July 2022. The good news is that we are planning to offer Funeral Plans again in the future.

Also I see a cremation only funeral is available from £995

Some folks prefer this method. I was curious why a doctor is needed seeing doctor listed as part of the expense. Just joking, seems when one is certified deceased a doctor is not needed.

Anyway, not to be too personal, are you signed up? If so what do you expect to pay, I mean like I, before departing this world?

Please explain how “We tested ourselves which revealed that we (from the West) were more radioactive than the residents” worked.
Was that testing done by holding a Geiger counter over your body for a few seconds? Or by taking a sample, let’s say blood, and measuring it for hours in a (lead-) shielded box?

Because you cannot detect a measurable difference within a few seconds – unless you are so contaminated that you’re close to glowing in the dark, and therefore likely would have died within a few years after…

The doctors in Svetlogorsk, a place with a very small population in the province of Homyel’skaya Voblasts’, Belarus, used Geiger counters placed against our thyroid gland. It was a closed city in Soviet times and we took many photos showing the way they resurfaced to roads to a depth of 18″ to minimise the radiation in the ground. This moves around randomly, and sometimes safe here or unsafe there, so they would test all the time as they moved about.

All I vaguely remember is that the doctors showed a reading of 260 odd whereas we were some 320 odd. We didn’t take any more notice of it, we just followed the doctor’s instructions. We also visited the Exclusion Zone for an allowed 2 hours.

m
m
  Austrian Peter
October 21, 2022 10:33 am

I cannot tie this together, so just some random thoughts…

If they hold the Geiger counter to your thyroid, they must be measuring Iodine isotope I-131 mostly. Because that one partially (10% of it) decays with Gamma-emission which easily passes through skin and other, into the Geiger counter tube. (While more common beta-emission will get absorbed even a 1 or 2 mm of skin, and is therefore not measurable by a Geiger counter.)

As I-131 has a half-life of 6 days, it will be pretty much completely gone after 6 weeks. So that means you must have taken it up within the few weeks before visiting that Belarus place.
However, taken up from where? As I-131 decays so fast, it would have had to been freshly “produced” by nuclear fission, i.e. a nuclear power plant.
Nuclear fuel reprocessing does NOT create additional I-131, unless they are doing something very, very wrong (i.e. putting too much nuclear waste too close together to start a bit of a local fission reaction.)
And even “spent” nuclear fuel rods would have gone through enough “cool down” time before taken out of a reactor, so that the I-131 is not an issue anymore.

Your 320 reading I cannot interpret.
I once had a radiography done, and my uncalibrated Geiger counter was showing:
1 hour after Te-99m injection: on arm 20uSv/hr, 20cm away but pointed towards thyroid 200, skin contact over thyroid 400uSv/hr
30 hours after injection: on arm 1uSv/hr [~equal to background radiation], on thyroid 4uSv/hr
(Te-99m has a half-life of 6 hours.)

320 when 260 is standard would mean 20% over normal…
so small increase that probably only a long-term observation of a large group (10,000+) would show a barely detectable increase in cancer likelihood…

Many thanks ‘m’ you clearly have excellent technical knowledge on this subject which is way above my pay grade. I can only report as I found at the time, being totally ignorant of anything on this subject.

I will submit this thread to my contacts in Belarus and trust the experts there will respond. However we were warned at the time that the information we were given was subject to ‘government controls’ (a euphemism for ‘secret’ I guess), they are very polite to foreign guests it seems!

They certainly entertained us royally at several dinners swilling with vodka. At my billet, I was greeted with vodka and pickled pork with beetroots and beetroot soup (Borscht). We observed massive fields of potato clamps and the flat countryside created a vista of unlimited root crops of all kinds.

Our Belarusian Army escort were merely grunts and not helpful on these subjects. In fact in the Exclusion Zone there were many apples on the trees (September 1994) and one Private jumped from the truck and collected many of them. An officer intervened very quickly and you didn’t need to know Russian to understand his error – they have a rather unique way of disciplining their troops.

Those that survive are not going to necessarily last long . The savagery Of humanity will be off the charts ! Yes you too may turn animalistic or else be considered a soft target !
Several years ago there was a survival special featuring a couple from the DC liberal government worker bunch . They had purchased several acres in a mountainous area of Virginia and built an underground shelter . After consulting a survival expert regarding water , food and other long term survival supplies the expert posed the question : How do you plan to defend yourselves?
Little Ms. Liberal was priceless with her comment . “We don’t have any need for weapons . We believe a new wave of humanity will encompass all who survive and will work together”!
The expert just shook his head with a dumbfounded look . Then said you better have weapons and be prepared to use them or you are preparing all this for an armed group of survivors to take all you did and stored from you with one shot !

Yes, we are very realistic in SA. Both my wife and I always carry pepper spray but have never had to use it over the 10 years in Cape Town and travelling all over SA. I always carry (unlicenced) my trusty Berretta 9mm, again, I have never had to use it in anger but did once show it to a threatening black which was enough to see him off.

Belarus in 1994 was different, there is no defence against the Mafia. We had a 24 hr Army squad with us at all times throughout our 3 week mission. We even spent 2 hours in the Exclusion Zone – a very weird experience – almost like those films of after the nuclear apocalypse. It was only 8 years after the Chernobyl meltdown, yet nature had already taken over and was seriously modifying all the man-made structures.

Assuming you didn’t get a lethal or close to lethal radiation dose from the blast(s):
First the food and water for 3 months (min. 4 weeks) so to not take in contaminated crap into your body from eating/drinking.
Second the NBS masks with a large number of filter cartridges (20+), so to not breathe in the worst radioactive particles when needing to go outside.
Third a geiger counter to know when to use the NBC mask, and/or potentially move to a more shielded area (if you have such) if very high radiation levels persist for a while.

Mysterious troubles in the Lone Star State are forcing airports to re-route aircraft due to unreliable GPS signals that are no longer functioning correctly. One of the worst-hit areas for GPS interference is an area abutting Fort Hood, America’s third-largest military base.

Having an old friend within hearing distance of Ft. Hood it was entertaining in years past listening to artillery fire from Ft. Hood while smoking brisket and drinking cold beer Central Texas style.

My question would be why would China want to clog GPS seeing as how it was former governor Rick Perry who was most instrumental in bringing the Chinese company Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. to Texas?
