The Ever Widening War Grows Wider

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

Now the Kremlin is faced with the threat of a false flag “dirty bomb” that would serve, as “Assad’s use of chemical weapons was intended,” as an excuse for US military intervention in Ukraine.

The Kremlin is also faced with the threat that Ukraine with Western aid will destroy the dam across the Dnieper River, flood Kherson and sweep away Russian artillery positions and pontoon bridges, leaving highly trained special force troops isolated and subject to capture.  The capture of Russian special forces would be a major propaganda victory for Ukraine.  https://southfront.org/kiev-to-launch-dam-war/

The Kremlin could not have made a more stupid mistake than going to war with insufficient troops in a half-hearted manner that gave Washington every opportunity to expand the war, subject the Kremlin to an extended period of damaging propaganda, and portray the Russian military as ineffective.  The image of the Russian military and its leadership that the Kremlin’s blunder has created is the last thing Russia needed.  Russia needed a show of force that would quickly end the conflict before the West could react, a show of force that would intimidate Europe from further participation in Washington’s aggression against Russia.

Instead, hesitancy, indecision, undefended red lines, and half-way measures opened the gates to the road to Armageddon. As the provocations of Russia intensify from  the attack on the Crimea bridge to the destruction of the Nord Stream pipelines to the deployment of the 101st US Airborne Division in Romania, to the practice of a nuclear attack on Russia on Russia’s border,  and now to the threat of a false flag dirty bomb loaded with radioactive material and the destruction of the Russian city of Kherson by flooding, before long Putin will be faced with a crossed red line that he cannot ignore.  Apparently, no one has told Putin that  when you ignore the first crossed red line, your opponents don’t believe your subsequent announced red lines.

The Kremlin continues to protect the Ukrainian puppet government from attack and the capital Kiev and cities of Western Ukraine from attack, and has left intact the Ukrainian infrastructure that permits the US to continue and expand the proxy war using Ukrainian troops. The Kremlin’s stupidity is unrivaled in the annuals of warfare.

I can’t tell from the tone of the article whether PCR is surprised by these developments or not, but I think he is. Someone with his background shouldn’t be. What more is there to say?

It almost looks like things started out as a standard Great Game power play from previous centuries. The standard tit-for-tat got lost in the antics of the clowns and the mumblings of the senile.
When you unleash chaos, anything can happen – and usually does.

Ukraine has lost probably ten times as many men as Russia and the West is running out of weaponry to send. Russia has a seemingly never-ending supply of tanks and missiles. I think it’ll work out ok. Either Russia achieves its territorial aims in Ukraine and is left to administer them or – if the US keeps escalating- DC gets nuked.

I am hoping that if, IF, DC gets nuked they use the tsunami weapon. Sort of like flushing the toilet of DC.

The Kremlin’s stupidity is unrivaled in the annuals of warfare.

You obviously haven’t been paying attention to what’s happened. Brilliant tacticians don’t beg for handouts, sell their military equipment on the black market while sending troops to the front lines with no weapon or equipment to actually fight or shell their own civilians. Not to mention Ukraine is sitting in the dark with their infrastructure destroyed completely in an afternoon.

This wasn’t a war, it was a police action to free Russians who’ve been attacked/shelled since 2014 by a WEF puppet that refused to honor the Minsk agreement. Other things Ukrainian Nazis have done to Russians since 2014 is nail them to crosses, dismemberment, cut open pregnant women’s bellies and either fill it with broken glass to sew back up or they murder the baby in front of the mother.

I don’t know, let’s look at what he achieved. First and most important he rallied the people to his side. He has won the sanctions war, outright or mostly, and is positioning to win the war (The Real War) against dollar hegemony. He has killed 100k AFU and wounded many more, all with a small part of the professional army, the Russian equivalent of the French Foreign Legion and local armed militants. He has destroyed almost all the warmaking equipment of the best equipped army in Europe without breaking a sweat. Local mitary leadership has been so atritted by missle strikes the the US has taken over leadership and decision making. He has depleted the armory of the West and demonstrated their inadequate industrial base to conduct extended war..

But the big picture is just twofold. How to defeat the dollar Without triggering a nuclear strike.

It looks pretty good, overall, for Russia on the field of battle which is Ukrane/NATO. The dicey part is avoiding the madmen in DC who think a “limited” nuclear war is both possible and winable..

Not only that, but there were some really good results on the donbass side.

they are still fighting.

I recall a youtube a few years back where some donbass officers were being berated for marching ukranian prisoners of war through the streets.

He replied: “They said they’d parade down the main streets of our capital, we just helped them to do so!”

That was fucking based.

I wish I had the link.
