When you are issuing debt to make interest payments on previously issued debt, the end is near.
Interest on debt is now the same size as the annual US military budget, which is by far the largest item in the US discretionary budget. And it's only going to get larger.

Very interesting, but more like very, very scary. Why isn’t anyone talking about this (corelated: why am I the first commenter?). It was easy to kick the can down the road when the road (inflation) was flat. Now the can is getting kicked up a big hill that gets steeper week by week.
