unions per se aren’t the problem–it is when they become too powerful that they are a problem —
I will say it again,though they do not get “sick”days feel many in the union will be getting sick starting this Friday and stay home so as not to infect other workers.
I remember being scolded about possibly being sick and then told that self quarantining was necessary.
I believe them, so any rail worker having a sniffle or scratchy throat, maybe even no symptoms at all too, should take the experts advice and quarantine themselves for at two weeks to flatted the curve.
I’m not a union supporter at all either, I just want everyone to be safe and healthy.
The elections are now rigged to the point that the dems no longer need the union vote.
rail workers union is probably majority white & the dems have written off the white working class —
additionally,if the rails don’t run right now there would be massive chaos & the dems do not want to upset their base —
My experience with union workers is that they are not very motivated. If they were, they would be getting more than a couple of percent per year. If I get a lousy raise like that I’m history. Bust your ass and get 25 or more per year.
