Come And See Us… Come And See Us…

I’m talking about Sunday Morning Classics on TBP.

Now before you go and just dismiss that please think about the following.

We offer more than just classical music. We offer most all kinds of music. Classical, folk, jazz, including some old jazz, some soft rock – no hard rock. There’s plenty of opportunity for that everywhere else on this site – and lately even some Mongolian music. We also have some very unusual music that is often submitted and duly credited.

We even had a special edition this year dedicated to ABBA and started that one out with a couple of BBC documentaries on them followed by nkit adding a number of classical pieces featuring their music. That was followed by me adding the original versions performed by ABBA themselves.

We also feature some young musicians. Some of them are VERY YOUNG! This might be a good way to introduce someone you know to what they can achieve.

We will start our fourth year here on TBP the first Sunday in February. Where does the time go?

We will share our third Christmas Special this year and with Christmas being on a Sunday this year, admin. (who has been very supportive of us) has generously offered to feature us all weekend.

We make our Christmas Specials as well as our Anniversary Editions special in that we usually start with a classical feature, we then come up with whatever we want and we invite you to do the same.

As always, you are invited to add whatever you want in our comments section, and we will add it to our offerings in about six weeks and credit you for it. Everything but hard rock is good with us.

So if you want to add something classical, that’s great, but if you want to add something that’s kind of folksy, or some jazz, some soft rock, or even some Mongolian music feel free to do so.

We have a regular following, but we would love for many of you that don’t visit us because you think that you just don’t like classical music to come and see if there is anything else that you might like.

We have been around for a while now and we don’t plan on going anywhere else anytime soon.

So Come And See Us. Come And See Us…

I wholeheartedly endorse Sunday Morning Classics. I started listening earlier this year. I often play the selections while I work or post stuff on my website and it seems to lighten the load. Steve does a great job, selecting a wide variety of music and artists. He also knows a lot about music, so you learn a thing or two. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed if you give it a try.

Merry Christmas

P.S. Some of the female artists are hot and wear decorative outfits.

While I visit and use as background to read depressing Sunday articles some times only “Hard Rock” will work for me as a anti-depressant!

That said, plenty of space on site for it(will dump a rock song for no reason at all at times)so stick with your medium/menu!

Oh,and here is a hard rock song just for s&g’s!

Same… Theres a few tunes I listen to that are a lot like punk grunge stuff… In one the chorus lyrics are “I will not submit” Its a song directed at the system and the devil, That tends to get repeated often with me…

I like the Sunday morning classics. Great job Steve! This isn’t really a request, but I personally love old skool Funk. The Meters are really contagious and uplifting. People might like some of their offerings. 😉

Steve & nkit – As a regular visitor to SMC, I have been pleasantly surprised by some of your, and your audience’s submissions. It always makes my heart happy to see a group of talented young people performing with abilities that I will never have. You have also introduced me to new artists that have been mesmerizing (I’m thinking about Khatia and Yuja) and quite entertaining (The Piano Guys).

Your weekly posts always provide an hour or more of very good and sometimes unusual music. I encourage everyone to escape the hard news and take a bit of time to listen to this wonderful music.

Thanks for all your efforts in providing this weekly post.

I don’t comment much on SMC, I just listen and enjoy.
Thank you, lads.
I love music of all kinds, but only classical brings my dead father back to life.
He was a renaissance man. Doctor, operatic singer, artist, and so well read as to defy
reason. I try to emulate him, except for the singing. I do not have a lovely singing voice.
