Yes, and that would be fine if the Christmas celebration for Christians was not denigrated diluted along with other aspects of the culture of the Europeans who want to celebrate it. It is more reason to end multiculturalism and rediscover nationalism.
Because they were written to celebrate the trappings of the winter season, convey a sense of togetherness, etc without specifically mentioning Jesus. That most of them were written by Jess might explain it a bit too. So what? Plenty of other songs celebrate Jesus.

It’s a material thing, it always has been. But it sure brings joy to the little ones. Everyday should be a day to celebrate the arrival of the savior. There’s nothing accurate or special about December 25. It’s just a commercialized holiday that should bring us together even if just for a moment. Enjoy it, we will lose this tradition soon enough. Perhaps then we can give thanks in earnest for the coming of a true savior.

At least back in the day they recognized that displays like that were either for the stage or deviant. We all know that in ancient Palestine they had lots of colored lights, sparkly ornaments, snow, evergreen trees, mistletoe, sleigh-bells, jingle-bells, abominable snowmen, Grinches, Rudolf, cranberries, turkey, and fruitcake. Even had wrapping paper for all the stuff brought by the Amazon trucks.
Once again, its that time of year for the mentally defective, always deranged, sky fairy snowglobe flat earth worshipers to scream about how they somehow invented Christmas. Completely ignoring the historical fact that Christmas is a massive kit-bashing of several Germanic, Celtic, and Greco-Roman holidays that celebrated the passing of the winter solstice. Of course, this upsets them, as does all historical reality that conflicts with their sky fairy snowglobe universe flat earth agenda.
But why the kit-bashing? The authoritarian, totalitarian Christians had to force their snowglobe universe flat earth belief in a magic sky fairy on everyone else or at least kill those people while trying to convert them. In order to keep the killings down to a manageable level, just co-opt their festivals and convince the children that those festivals are really part of the sky fairy indoctrination.
Historically, over the centuries, the worshipers of Christmas have killed more people than any other cult while hijacking the celebrations of those people. From this, it is safe to conclude that not only do the worshipers of Christmas have zero creativity, but are equally on par with Hitler, Stalin, Lenin, Mao, and every other socialist dictator of the last century.
