I’m just wondering when people are going to realize two things wrong with this story:
1.) This supposed disaster happened two weeks ago now; if deadly toxic clouds laden with acid rain had dumped loads of an alleged corrosive chemical into the environment, it would have happened. It didn’t.
2.) The pictures of this “disaster” clearly show a dark plume flowing up into the clouds. This is a major flaw in their narrative: I would ask you to please take a look at the picture right underneath THE BURNING PLATFORM above. This is what oil and gas look like when they are burned; Vinyl Chloride burns with white plumes, just like most chemicals.
Whatever it was they burned was not vinyl chloride or any such thing. This was all about destroying infrastructure, not environment (not that they particularly care about that either).

The document is on the CDC site, and it does say 100,000 ppm.
None of the hyperventilating viral stories actually contains a link to any document showing a prior standard of 100 ppm.
This leads me to draw one of two conclusions:
1. The stuff is not immediately deadly in its own right unless you’re trapped in a room filled with it.
2. The CDC doc fucked up badly by reporting the number in ppm instead of ppb.
It is entirely possible that V.C. is just NOT lethal in terms of immediate inhalation exposure. It is a carcinogen, however, and is also flammable and poses a risk of explosion.
This still leaves many questions, but it seems that uninformed panic rules the day so make of it what you will.
Two sentences stand out.

I was a Switchman & a Trainman and that’s true; wrecks like this are very rare (this one is very suspicious, and who gave the orders to continue and why have not been answered) and setting a hazardous material like Vinyl Chloride on fire on purpose is out of order, one of a kind, and suspicious, and the EPA nonreacton is suspicious. Let independent experts see all the bearings of the crippled car, hear all the tapes, see all the electronic records, question the workers. This is another lone gunman and single bullet theory from the government.
