The Stunning Transformation Of Tara Lipinski

What's Tara Lipinski up to nowadays?

On February 20, 1998, 15-year-old Tara Lipinski wins the gold medal in women’s figure skating at the Olympic Winter Games in Nagano, Japan, and becomes the youngest gold medalist in her sport.

Lipinski donned her first pair of skates at age six. In 1994, at age 12, she won a gold medal at the U.S. Olympic Festival, a junior-level competition. In 1997, Lipinski, then 14, took first place at both the national and world figure skating championships, beating out her American rival and perennial fan favorite, Michelle Kwan. Lipinski was the youngest person ever to take home either title.

At the 1998 Winter Games in Nagano, Lipinski and teammate Michelle Kwan were both considered favorites for the gold medal. Earlier that season, the diminutive Lipinski, known for her energetic jumps, had been defeated twice in competition by Kwan, who was considered the more artistic skater of the two. Both Kwan and Lipinski turned in strong performances; however, Lipinski’s program was considered more technically difficult and she was awarded the gold medal. Kwan took home the silver medal and China’s Chen Lu won the bronze. Lipinski, then 15, was the youngest person in figure skating history to capture Olympic gold. (At the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway, 16-year-old Oksana Baiul from Ukraine won the gold in women’s figure skating.)

In April 1998, Lipinski announced she was turning professional. She went on to perform in skating shows such as “Stars on Ice” and also pursued an acting career. She retired from figure skating in 2002. In 2006, she was inducted into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame.

It’s a fine line between suppressed puberty girls skating, and Women’s Figure skating.
But she could skate no doubt about that.

At least she was and is a ‘she’. How long will it be before we have “Trans-on-ice”?

Very true! Btw we do have Trans on ice, already. We had falling down Mrs. 50yo Guy. And Pairs Figure Skating can now be any two people skating together. Can’t wait to see RuPauls Drag Race On Ice at the next Olympics!
PS: The Drag Racers will also share a locker room with Kamila Valieva and other young girls.
“Hey, Kamila help me tape this up. I don’t know why I’m having such a hard time…”

I prefer to go back to the days of Trans Am on ice.

How does that work?

Take the Trans Am out on the lake to go ice fishing. Scare the daylights out of your hillbilly cousin from the south as the ice makes cracking noises. Then point out the open water a few miles away in that direction and watch the hillbilly cousin break down into full panic. Then saw a hole in the ice as your hillbilly cousin takes off running for land. Now you can ice fish in peace.

That describes Trans on ice for real men.

That is the ultimate unfairness. The men are better jumpers because of their superior muscle strength. Ever notice how the women fall way more then the men? If they put a tranny on ice the women should all walk off in protest.

Not one will. They all support “Gender Expression”. Women are Agents Against Themselves.

Never watched the movie, but the clips I saw looked funny. What’s also “funny” is that they probably couldn’t even make that movie now. It would be considered “problematic”. Flamboyant men and men dressed as women used to be considered ridiculous (and therefore funny). Flip Wilson as Geraldine. Milton Berle as a lady. FWIW, I don’t think either of the characters in Blades of Glory were supposed to be gay.

For some reason, she does all skating commentary (and even did Rose Parade I think) with Johnny Queer (Weir), the unbelievably effeminate “male” skater from her era.
Sorry in advance
