I don’t think her Mayflower roots were unveiled by DNA. Probably just researching paper records – of which there are a surprising amount. The Mormons have collected a shit ton of records – birth records, US census records, bills of sales of enslaved people, death certificates, grave records, etc. I plugged in my grandma’s name into the internet and quickly found a picture of my great great grandparents’ grave – people who moved to MN over 150 years ago.

Well nourished Africans score closer to 80. American Blacks (presumably well nourished) average about 85. The gap between pure African and White is 20 points, and American Blacks are 5 points (25% of the gap) higher than pure African. So… just how much White does the average American Black have mixed in? Just about 25%, just what you would expect to explain the 5 point higher IQ.

At a convention I met a negro gentleman from Nairobi, he was pleasant to talk with and we were in the same business, so we talked at some length. One thing he said in passing that stuck in my mind was, to paraphrase, this: Why do these people in US call themselves black? They aren’t black, they’re mixed race! He was genuinely and mildly offended that these mulattos would call themselves black. In Africa, blacks are blacks, mixed race are mixed race, whites are white, etcetera. In America all the mulattos, quadroons, octoroons, picaroons, and apparently some white broads… and Talcum X…, call themselves black, in addition to the very few actually black people living here.
Lots of black people are the descendants of white slave owners while being the descendants of black slaves. In the past, it would have been notable for her to be a descendant of the Mayflower & the Revolution (DAR & all of that), but today, to be the descendant of the white founders of the country becomes a disgrace.
