Recognize this one, from “Manhunter” a Michael Mann production, where the reporter from The Tattler rag, after baiting a serial killer with a front page story suggesting he’s a homo, the reporter is sent down the ramp at a parking garage, with some accelerant to make him go faster.
The ticket taker at the collection booth sees this scene and almost soils himself.
Dark movie, but Mann’s skills, as in some Miami Vice episodes are exceptional.
IIRC, I think he also produced Heat, with DeNiro and Pacino, and that flick has some of the same cast as Manhunter.
In Heat, the wheelchair bound guy who captures revealing data for heists is the same dude as the serial killer in Manhunter, a forerunner to Silence of the Lambs. Based on Red Dragon, I believe.
Hannibal Lector is featured in Manhunter, but it’s not Anthony Hopkins.
All three are thriller ~ killer dramas.
Heat is classic Good Guys vs. Bad Guys with very realistic film making.

The Vatican is full of horrifying satanic imagery.
You will strike His heel and he will crush your head.
Great scene in The Passion, when Christ is fervently praying on HolyThursday evening, after The Last Supper, so frightened, asking for that cup to be taken from him, but voicing Thy Will Be Done.
When the evening moon goes dark behind some clouds, He stands up, and crushes the serpent that represents evil temptation at His feet, by bringing down His sandaled heel with a vicious stomp.
And then, the Sanhedrin’s thugs approach, to seize him.
When Peter tries to intervene, pulling a short sword to protect Christ, he slices off the ear of one of the enforcers, and Jesus tells him to scabbard his blade.
The wounded enforcer (Malchus?) is in shock, but Christ heals him immediately by touch, then stands up, and the heartbreaking pain begins.
Judas plays his part in that scene, and John scampers away in fear, losing his tunic to a manhandling thug, and runs away naked, just like the Good Book describes.

Mamas and Papas were one of the first groups that I really enjoyed listening too. Also a big fan of Herb Albert, but don’t know if it was the music or the album cover for Whipped Cream. She really put some bad thoughts into my 10 y-o mind.
