Hate (no WWZ loves) to armchair psycopath this but… woman employee/owner/security guard must have known that eventually a fateful day like that would arrive in Joe Burden’s America. Yet Madame failed to firmly take control of the situation and assert dominance by exploiting klepto’s obvious fear of police arrest and desire to escape private venue with some items. Shoplifter should have been ordered to hand over each item, one at a time and organized chronologically (just to keep its brain off-kilter) as shrinkage was tabulated and marked damaged or not, BUT in the employee break-room with other loss agent filming. Any tacit agreement from shoplifter to trade that short walk off the sales floor for being let go should disqualify a false imprisonment claim.

Slutlifter’s inevitable errors in disgorging merchandise into correct pile or order would restart random parts of the process. S.L. would have surely cracked/brokedown as this process would take two+ hours predicated on its blatantly extensive act of reckless thievery. Film the tears, say “we understand how guilty you feel about this, maybe better to cry it out.” Also helpful banter like, “Just become a banker and foreclose on the store next time you want to steal everything,” should have been constant and demeaning. Maybe said to the co-worker, “we really don’t want to strip search her given those ample skin folds but I don’t know, it is company policy.” Then to shoplifter, “you are asking that we trust you in that regard, it is very difficult, our retailer relationship has been hurt.” Hey compadres, no worse than TSA checkpoint charlie at the airport, but at least in this case you don’t have to actually reach in.

Of course Lulu Bell is dumb enough that it brought an actual ID so get that reprobate’s name and address. This would probably point to an online fencing operation and filthy apartment packed with stolen merchandise. You acquire that info when the bathroom break is begged for on hour #2 after its adrenaline has crashed, but temporarily hold the purse because, “we need to make sure we finish the process and get you out of here.”

Just because ClownWorldifornia has BS anti-rules/unlaws about stealing does not mean that mentality holds up in court everywhere else. Then again Secret Shopper is white so no woke protections.

And yes, if it had been stealing from the Gitmo PX/BX, would have made that mouth eat every stolen item over a 1 month period in an orange jumpsuit with JAG approval because, “This one… knows things.” Not anymore — jk
