Joseph Gentile is the Chief Administrative Officer at SVB Securities.
Prior to joining the firm in 2007, Mr. Gentile served as the CFO for Lehman Brothers’ Global Investment Bank where he directed the accounting and financial needs within the Fixed Income division. Prior to that, he served as CFO of the Global Corporate and Investment Bank at Bank of America, where he led the Capital Markets Division. In addition he was the CFO for the Private Bank. Previously, Mr. Gentile spent more than 10 years with J.P. Morgan in various financial management positions, including Global Head of Financial Risk Management. He started his career at Arthur Andersen.
Mr. Gentile earned his B.S. in Accounting and his M.B.A. in Finance from St. John’s University.

My last dentist was Dr. Joe Gentile from Pueblo, Colorado-by far the best I ever had. Navy veteran and loved forensic dentistry in his spare time-that meant he examined the decomposed bodies the sheriff would find in a ditch and call the coroner to come get it. His record for identification of the deceased through dental records was excellent. He took off two weeks to spend time in a huge FEMA tent morgue in Baton Rouge working to identify bodies of hurricane victims. Always the optimist, he said he learned a lot and the tent even had plenty of AC.
Was driving in to the office one morning when he was about 85 years old and was in a serious auto accident a couple blocks from the office, dying several months later. A few years earlier I had a front tooth knocked out at the gym on the day of New Years Eve-he met me at his closed office later in the morning and fixed me up with a temporary until he could do the real thing the next week when the office opened after the holiday. At dental school at Creighton University back in the 1950s he was the go-to intern when there was an Italian speaking patient in for free gratis dental work. They don’t make ’em like Joe anymore. One of the most genuine and interesting characters I ever met.

Back in my house after one year, not quietly mind you. I had previously made personal contacts with LEO chief, county Sheriff (twice), county health administrator, hospital admin.( now at risk of closing), District Judge/court….you know, just tryin to do my part….I have been stopped under lights and siren twice in 30 days: 1st time, popular thru a bat-turn on the main four lane in heavy traffic, for “improper approach to roadway”. Nice young man, more pleasant than I! 2nd time yesterday, three blocks from my house- residential four way stop, no other cars within 200′ of intersection…no turn signal as I made a right hand turn…
Haven’t told the story of commissioners car involved in arrest of repeat suspended license, concealed gun, reported 5 1/2 Oz meth, weed….phone call made, bond reduced to near zero, released, all within hours. This is info from a local newspaper (on this broke screen phone I will see if I can link later)

Just finished Whitney Webb’s book “One Nation Under Blackmail.” The Global Banksters keep doing the same thing over and over, and most never do any jail time. Then there kids do the same crimes again without consequences.
There is no bank on earth that could survive a 25% run on deposits in 8 hours. Especially as the run happens instantly via on line transactions. SVB may well have been entirely viable. But no bank can withstand that kind of run. None.
That 25% run on the bank was not joe sixpack pulling his meager life savings. It was killed like Lehman in a whispering campaign started by the likes of Jamie Dimon and Peter Thiel.
It could come down to how fast Powell over at the Fed can print the money compared to how quickly the system will honor all the withdrawal requests.
