Brexit is another example underlying the extreme measures being taken against the will of the people. We must also speak well of non-state institutions and strengthen them in our daily work and daily lives. Mere opposition to the state, without viable private or local alternatives, will never be sufficient. People want effective services like education and help for those less able in many ways. They want safety, a sense of community, and solidarity with others. These benefits of society do not require states, but they do require caring institutions. I shall be writing about the BoE CBDC programme in the coming weeks (we have the bloody coronation to handle soon and this interrupts my schedules.)

The umbilical cord between the UK and the US was never really cut, I believe. IMO, the last thing China wants is war in Taiwan. I think the people of Taiwan are too smart to fall for the US game of promising support and then your country ends up destroyed. They have elections coming up, and my belief is the reunification party will prevail.
Our current government in the US are psychopaths who must actually believe all their exceptionalism bullshit. The US has no chance whatsoever of success in a war in China’s back yard. China can take out US ships from a thousand miles, and take out all the refueling depots in the Pacific with ease. Our ships on average burn a thousand gallons of fuel an hour, and it is doubtful they could even reach China without refueling. And if they could, once there, they could not get back. The US and NATO keep doubling down on stupid, and the only conclusion a reasonable person can come to is they are either crazy, or they are trying to destroy the US and Europe on purpose…. I also believe there is a active opposition to the current administration in both the intelligence departments and military in Washington DC, and they will overthrow the current administration in some way in the not too distant future. As always, it is a chess game with many players..
