Michael Yon thinks China wants to take over the world. Gonzalo Lira thinks they just want to trade with other countries and has no aims to take over the world.
Yon’s videos from the Darien Gap shows many of the so called migrants coming through it are young Chinese men who qualify as fighting age for the military. He also claims our tax $$ are supporting this effort.
Meanwhile Lira claims that China hasn’t started a war with another country in decades and has no reason to want war with any other country. We are talking sanctions against China and this will lead to war.
Question: Who is right?
2nd Question: Why on one had would we be trying to provoke China into war and at the same time allowing all the young Chinese men into the US?
Personally, while I think Lira is very knowledgeable about Ukraine and Russia I don’t think he knows jack about China.
As for why our China policy is provoking war and at the same time allowing all these Chinese men into the US, Biden has been in bed with the Chinese for years. I think he or whomever is deciding the policy wants the US to lose a war to China. I think they have an under the table deal of some sort.

First, I really don’t know Lira. I’ve read very little of his stuff. So, his opinion means little to me. Additionally, from what I can glean, he is not out there seeing things first hand, especially when it comes to China and anything other than Ukraine.
Now, Michael Yon I follow extensively. I support him on Locals and have been listening to what he has to say for several years now. He is a straight shooter and, with his extensive background and the fact that he is constantly traveling the world to all the hot spots, I take his word as being very truthful. He has many, many good contacts not only here in the states but, in many countries abroad too.
China is a communist country. It is not the China pre-1960’s. Communism always wants to expand, and conquer. It is an evil regime and evil has no bounds. It continues to expand its influences until it is either boxed in or destroyed. I believe we are being set up by traitors in charge. I’ve seen the first hand videos of the lines of young, military aged Chinese in Panama. I’ve seen the videos of the busses loaded with them.
Simply put; I put a lot of credence in what Yon has to say about all this. He has great bona fides.

Back in the real world, the only countries that have made a good stab at imperialism have been European countries. Now, many of those colonies benefitted to a degree. English common law is a good starting place – although not the only one – for building a civil society and rule of law. Saying China doesn’t have a history of imperial conquest doesn’t mean they’re perfect. I suppose there is a chance they would reverse their entire history and start to try to conquer distant lands, although they’re probably smart enough to see that “invade the world, invite the the world” hasn’t worked out well for Britain.
In any case, what the fuck does Yon propose? He finds one Chinese mental patient in Central America (who sounded like an American) and tries to make it look like a pattern. I agree. I’m a little suspect of Lira, but Yon screams con or agenda (Adams had him on the other day and was going through the drama of concealing Yon’s identity, like no one would be able to figure out it was Yon from his voice. Why except for drama? Adams is really suspect too).
Though I do certainly think we need to stem the flow over the border. There are lots better ways to get spies into the country than such an haphazard and convoluted manner as described. Spies are not cheap, so why would you risk that way of getting them into the country and losing your asset?

A general view I have, a sort of target identification check, is to list all the bad shit that has ever happened to me or impinged on my freedom in life or self-employed business. Idealogicaly communism seeks to be the solution to world governance. Assuming that the CCP are true to their communist beliefs, it follows that they seek world communism as a goal, though not necessarily with China in charge, since world communism is ultimately incompatible with the permanent existence of the nation state.
In my opinion the questions are misleading, it is not so much about what China wants, it’s about what the ideology wants. Ideology is without borders, and don’t forget that Davos man is a globalist socialist.
