Do my eyes deceive me or is that the compressed brain matter of all those that profess to know the science settled future.

We’re doomed because dupes believe in the need for rulers, and because losers need scapegoats and hence engage in divide and conquer.

There are many more examples of these lies about rising sea levels. There has to be constant scare tactics and with every one there is a new tax attached. Move along…… til they think up something else.

My biggest disappointment is the sheep never stop falling for this crap.

Reality is like kryptonite to these people.

There is literally no point in trying to show them the truth other than to frustrate yourself.

This works better as a sardonic joke for folks like us. A wink and a nod across a crowded room.

I had to look that one up. Pretty grim. Not unlike buying a Shetland from Sardinia named Taurus, from owners whos ancestors have their own ancient tombs. Just because I ran out of Kolla.

Who keeps moving it?

Is it on a regular schedule?

Was the pic taken at high or low tide?

Ok, I looked it up, and it’s been in the same location since 1880. If there has been no discernible sea level rise in the past 143 years it would seem the same basic point can be made.

Even if it hadn’t been moved, you’d have to look at it at the same point in the tidal cycle. Tides are pretty high around there.

Even it’d been moved, or whether the planet’s flat or an oblate spheroid, or a booger in a hash fiend’s nostril, the climate change ruse is road apples. Are we all agreed on that point?

A child experiment. Fill a
glass with Ice. Then fill the glass with water to the top. THE
Cubes will be above the water level. What happens when the ice melts?

The liquid level should go down when the ice melts. A given amount of water occupies more volume in solid phase than liquid phase. That’s why a glass of water will crack the glass when put in a freezer, the water expands due to the larger lattice structure in ice. In fact I think water is the only known substance that exhibits this physical property, all other molecules occupy volume by solid < liquid

Obviously wrong.
The ice cubes part under water are displacing exactly the amount of [liquid] water as their weight, and the ice cubes weight includes the part sticking out of the water. When the ice cubes melt their weight doesn’t change, so the water level in the glass will stay exactly the same (assuming no discernible evaporation.)

Yeah, this kind of falls under the Python bit about drowning witches and “very small rocks”. Like, which weighs more: a pound of feathers, or a pound of lead?

This illustration is not a good example to support unchanged sea level. Anyone who has visited the Plymouth Rock realizes that it is only a mock-up that attempts to reinforce the historical myth. I’ve wandered the Cape Cod dunes (granted the Pilgrim landing would have been in the Bay) without ever seeing a rock the size of which would imply settlers disembaracking (did you see what I did there?) from their ship onto land.

A better example is the photo of Liberty Island “then and now” that’s available on the internet.

Rialto Bridge is my personal favorite.

Built in 1591 the observable water level on it’s exposed steps has not altered by and inch. Compare the paintings to current photographs.

Again, you are not going to sway anyone who believes in the religion with facts or reality. Their understanding is based on faith alone.

Sorry my learned friend but the water level has increased by 3 milimeters or 0.1181102362 inches. We are doomed, DOOMED.

We need to pour billions or trillions, into AI tech to help solve this existential threat to all humanity otherwise we will be living in water world disc, you know the thing, by 2035.

A better way would be to look at the observations used by the IPCC right up until the 2000s, recognize that when they first began claiming that “the science is settled” they used data from a single place on earth— tide gauges in the Netherlands — and realize that The Netherlands, has been subsiding (I.e. slowly sinking into the sea) for millennia.

Since their Third Assessment Report, IPCC has added several other locations, all conveniently cherry-picked like Battery Park in lower Manhattan. The Battery Park gauge has shown almost a full foot of alleged “sea level rise” in just one decade.
Problem is, Battery Park is almost entirely fill (as in land fill) and so is constantly compressing and subsiding.
Doesn’t stop the warmists from believing that the “global sea level” can rise a full foot in just one spot and not others.
They still keep the “data” from both Netherlands and Battery Park in their “calculations” of sea level.
