++ 10 billion upvotes, Eudi.

Auntie hasn’t laughed so hard since Sen. John Festermann. Especially the “Thank the Whites” production. Genius.

Thank you exceedingly. (Auntie hasn’t had a teevee for nearing 30 years)

Technically the pyramids are on the African continent, but the nations above the Sahara are VASTLY different from the sub-saharan ones. Those along the Mediterranean and the Red Sea were positively influenced by the cultures of Europe and the trade routes to Asia. Everything else was mud huts.

” Those along the Mediterranean and the Red Sea were positively influenced by the cultures of Europe . . . ”

The great pyramids were constructed at a time when Europeans were still living in stick and wattle huts, and advanced architecture in Egypt predates the pyramids by a thousand years. It was Egyptian culture that influenced the European Hellenes.

” . . . the nations above the Sahara are VASTLY different from the sub-saharan ones.”

Yes, they are Caucasian, probably a back migration from people living around the Caspian Sea. Some went south around the Black Sea and up the Nile, some went north and up the Danube.

Even before the Roman Empire the Med was the “Center of the World” and the people who lived around it didn’t think of Africa as a separate continent, for the simple reason that they didn’t know it.

It was all one land with a big salt bath in the middle of it.

Ahhh,
The glory days of Wafrikanda.
When men wore sheaths over their Johnsons, and the women rolled their breasts like cigarettes to keep them
from dragging on the ground.
Lazy afternoons holding your head
under an active cow urine stream,
putting a huge disc in your lip well….because….what a time!

Don’t get me wrong, I like all our cool tech toys and buildings.

But the (old) African way is sustainable at least. The Western way certainly isn’t.

The West consumes like fire. If it can touch it, it will use it up as fast as possible.

I don’t live too far above the mud hut level, but do have much land. I don’t rampantly consume. But I am comfortable and don’t feel the need to consume for the sake of consumption, which seems the Western way.

Building cathedrals and castles is very cool. But it is, as our society is now, a huge waste of resources, no matter how pretty and impressive.

Consumes like fire? Like Africans burning the green North to a desert? And all they do is reproduce. Just stop.

The best preserved Roman ruins are found in Libya.

The movie referenced above “Life of Brian” was filmed in and around Monastir, Tunisia.
I’ll go out on a limb and say the Islamic conquest had much to do with the destruction of Northern Africa. They were the principle players in the US slave trade.

Africans burnt the North to a desert via slash-and-burn “agriculture” before Islam infected Arabia and brought low the race that invented algebra.

Nearly 90% of the copper ever mined is either currently in use or available for use.
All water is recycled.

Reports of consumption like fire are highly exaggerated by people running an agenda.

Disclaimer of bias: Some of the most pleasant living I have ever had was done in a mud brick hut.

The massive consumption is mostly of ENERGY. The energy to get raw resources. The energy to refine them. The energy to make shit. The energy to transport that shit. The energy to recycle water and copper. The energy to keep cities lit 24/7. The energy for 200 million cars to commute. The energy for A/C. The energy for heating…………

Oh, and the MASSIVE material and energy use of the Armed Forces. The one we use to invade countries to steal more of their energy and resources.

America alone uses 20+% of all resources and energy, with ~5% of the planets population. Simple math, 4X consumption on average.

Then there is the oceans. We are consuming the biomass faster than it can replenish. It may be the Asians doing the fishing, but they are doing most of it for Western consumption.

And energy can neither be destroyed nor created. It can only change form.

Although there is the small matter of its availability to do work.

I didn’t say that over consumption couldn’t be a problem.

I still say the blocks of the pyramids were “poured” limestone, and are more like 20-25k yrs old. There has also never been a mummy found in a pyramid, so it wasn’t a burial place.
