Little kid on the fire hydrant is enjoying himself waaaay too much.
Go rain on someone else’s parade.
The good old days involved real childhood and real adulthood and all that that entailed. Fuck the transgenda and chronic adolescence.
Calm down Karen, it was a joke.
Didn’t mean to trigger you. Next time I will use /s.
Feel better now?
I guess that your joke just isn’t funny. Some of us enjoy remembering the good old days without the sexualization of children being drug into it.
Bad new days:
.
Good old days version of vital for children:
3 R’s; 2 parents, 1 cookie.
I’m just not quick witted or slightly depraved enough to think up such laugh out loud shiite.
I always thought she was conceived anally.
Webb must be so proud…
I’ll take 2! One for me and the other for the mrs. Expecting lots o’ varmints.gov
Is that a white sucker fish? Fucking crackers, even their fish are white!
I thought it was a walleye, but I wasn’t sure.
Walleye
White Sucker
We looked at a home (to buy) in the early 80’s that the previous owner had shagrugged and entire family room; floors and walls! People underestimate today how big a fad shag carpeting was back in the day.
“Weekly World News” had an article years ago that showed a Praying Mantis as a “mysterious insect” that only lived in shag carpeting. Hilarious. Oh – I still miss Bat Boy, the three-armed baseball player & Ed Anger’s rants.
My parents bought a house in the eirly 70’s, wall to wall lime green shag carpet. it was hideouse! They loved it.
Mine was a hideous orange. I don’t know who was in charge of picking the popular colors for design during that time, but my guess is there’s a special place in Hell where they abide now.

We moved into a house on Long Island back in the early 70’s that had pink shag carpeting in what was the previous owner’s daughter’s room. Due to all that “white privilege” Dad didn’t have the money to replace it… I ended up getting that room… ‘Damaged me for life… That carpet was STILL in that room when we moved out!
My first car bought in 1980 was a ’68 Merc Montego that was tricked out in shag, it was so cool!
Remember the Good ‘ole Days. Like bringing flowers and making breakfast for Mothers Day?
This year up here in Canad’uh it is Celebration of Parents Day. I guess we will have Celebration of the Other Parent Day for Fathers Day…..

Birthing Persons’ Day
Carpet samples were the flooring of all tree houses and forts.
Shag in the bathroom? I can still smell the urine.
Carpet in the bathroom… Prolly #2 on the top ten worst ideas ever!!!
But hugely popular. My parents had shag. They covered up beautiful oak floors.
Shagging in the bathroom makes cleanup easy.
If you’ve done your shagging properly, the place’ll smell like Cupid’s gym for a month of Sundays …
The Six Billion dollar man makes sense now. 1 Million on Steve Autism; 5.999 Billion to the Rottenchild’s pockets.
We all went around making that “dee dee dee dee” sound that signified having hydraulic muscles.
Now that we know the moon landing was fake, I’m starting to think the bionic man wasn’t real either.
And showing him running in slow motion because he ran so fast.
I never did get that.
Phone Books are in use all around the country still. To see one…. During booking, just tell the Officer you had his Mom in cuffs last night as well.
Houston Astrodome 1964
My brother and I were driving through Houston back in the early 90’s, I believe, and I saw a skid row type are with people lounging all over the place. I said, there sure are a lot of losers here. My brother responded with , yea, the astros and the oilers.
I guess your brother wasn’t in Houston during the last World Series.
He doesn’t live very far from there so he could have been. He’s always been a supporter of Texas teams so he might have switched back.
I don’t want to pick a fight but just think Using BB as a pen name is disrespectful. I miss him.
I lived in Houston during the 70s, and we had some good sports teams, but not always. Only old-timers will remember Gordie Howe (and sons) playing hockey for the Aeros, or Jim Kelley quarterbacking the Houston Gamblers.
If I had to guess, I’d say the love of money is the downfall of America…the soft life.
Quotes from TR
On success: “It is a bad thing for a nation to raise and to admire a false standard of success; and there can be no falser standard than that set by the deification of material well-being in and for itself.”
On virtue: “No nation deserves to exist if it permits itself to lose the stern and virile virtues; and this without regard to whether the loss is due to the growth of a heartless and all-absorbing commercialism, to prolonged indulgence in luxury and soft, effortless ease, or to the deification of a warped and twisted sentimentality.”
On work: “I don’t pity any man who does hard work worth doing. I admire him. I pity the creature who does not work, at whichever end of the social scale he may regard himself as being.”
On courage: “A soft, easy life is not worth living, if it impairs the fibre of brain and heart and muscle. We must dare to be great; and we must realize that greatness is the fruit of toil and sacrifice and high courage… For us is the life of action, of strenuous performance of duty; let us live in the harness, striving mightily; let us rather run the risk of wearing out than rusting out.”
Why is my ford heater controls in that pic? I still drive my truck everyday.
Is it really that old?
My thought too. My F250 is 40 years old (bought new) and has the identical control panel.
Hey… I STILL use Aqua Velva Ice Blue! The stuff the kids wear now is like patchouli. That smell that says “You haven’t bathed in weeks, have you?…”
There are several more.
York Peppermint Patty commercials – can’t find the one with the accountant:

TBP for some reason just rejected a post about old commercials from Nynex phone book listings, plus York Peppermint Patty ads, and Molson Golden Ale ads. The Nynex are very clever and funny.
Let’s try this again:
Hah! Beat ya, fucking punkass ghost in the machine!
Wow . . . WTF?
That looked just like the TRS-80 computer that I used to have.
Those pudding pops were great by the way.
When I was a kid it was a safe bet I would be in the B Dalton, if we went to a mall.
Is it really taffy if it isn’t Bonomo’s Turkish Taffy?
