THREE LAYER CAKE OF DEBT (DEATH)

There’s actually a fourth layer of unfunded government pension and benefits debt at the State and Local levels totaling tens of trillions of dollars. This is why they need to distract you with wars, culture bullshit, and the controversy of the day. Debt ceiling my fat ass. The avalanche of debt will bury this declining empire.

my fat ass

That’s the only thing wrong with your statement. Everything else is correct. Especially the distractions.

Debt ceiling my ass. Fify.

“Raise the debt ceiling” is being programmed into you the same way “Safe and Effective” was.
The people in government expect and demand a blank check to continue looting the country. Just say no.
Never raise the debt ceiling. $31 trillion is quite enough, and the topper is that they’ve delivered piss-poor results in exchange for racking up that tally.
Massively downsize the federal government. Here’s a template to work off of, 40% of the workforce to get the party started:

Heres some action to those that think change can be made in the system. Get on the bandwagon and write, protest, get the People to be engaged in telling, demanding, their ‘elected’ representative to not vote on raising the debt ceiling one iota. How about bobby?? Whats his position on this, I’m going to bet he’s ok with it.

What to make change?? Start with accountability. Demand no debt raising. But I’m also willing to bet that the excuses for why people won’t call, write or protest their reps on this will be served up by a few. Otherwise total radio silence.

Unless you are prepared to include a sizeable check with your letter, there is little use contacting your “representative” or senator. They are busy doing the work for their pay masters and do not have time for your piddley little request. The only time you matter is near election and even then, there is a 95% chance they will be re-elected because of the power of incumbency.

I got those national collapse blues.

Well, I called my congressman and he said quote

“I’d like to help you son, but you’re too poor to donate.”

Lamar Alexander, my former Senator, sent me a form letter telling me he appreciated my input, but for the good of the country, he was going to vote the other way. I would have preferred he just ignore me like has happened too many times to count.

Not shown — the many tens of trillions of dollars of unfunded pension obligations by States and their lesser entities — cities and counties.

There are actually retirees from CA State government jobs that are making more than $500K in retirement pay … I know some there whose retirements are more than 100% of their salaries …

Numerous reports about Illinois and its pension obligations shows that some folks fund only 4-5¢ out of every pension dollars they receive … the remaining 95-96¢ of those pension dollars come from the taxpayers …

I know folks who’ve retired from State jobs in Oregon … they were allowed to make contributions to their pension plan beyond what the State made … and get paid 8% interest on those contributions … all while banks and such were paying 0.1% interest on deposits …

The music will stop one day … likely much sooner than later … and there won’t be enough dollars to go around … and, of course, the big push will be just who will get paid — the workers, the wetback invaders, the welfare recipients? Who? It will likely depend upon just who’s going to react the most violently … after all, we’ve never had EBT cards go unfilled … nor HUD payments made … nor any other freebies ended, even for a minute. The COLA for Social Security starting 1.1.2023 was 8.7% … for welfare recipients it was 12.5% … How to explain that?

In Massatwoshits the pension is based on the last three years average of pay. A friend of my mom was a cop, his last three years he signed up for.every detail possible, and because of his seniority, he pretty much got a lot of them. His retirement was well over 70K, and that was back in the 80s.
Elected municipal officials who received pay were eligible to sign up for the state pension, and if they did they were exempt from paying Social Security,so why wouldn’t they.

A couple of my Town’s Board of Selectmen, both lawyers, spent 18 years on the part time board, earning about $1,000 -$1,5000 a year. Then after they reached 1hat point, they both got full time jobs, one was elected to be the town treasure and the other arranged to be appointed as the town’s property assessor, after a few years they both retired to really nice pensions.

But the worst was a guy I knew who spent about 20 years as an elected member of the Board of Library trustees, making about $10.00 a month, who then got a job with the state and retired to a full time pension.

In a former life, in the early 1990’s I lived in a township in New Jersey. The township at that time had non partisan elections. I got involved in local politics and amazingly, by knocking on almost every door in the town, a friend was elected mayor. I was his campaign manager.

When he assumed office the township attorney came to him with a list of about twelve people and said these persons have to be reappointed as Town Constables. We looked over the list and saw they were ex mayors, ex council members and local Democrat and Republican officials.

We questioned what they did and was told they serve papers etc. It was obvious what the deal was. These people were just getting a stipend but were vesting in the state retirement system and got state health benefits. Some of the previous people now had fulltime state jobs. One was a judge.

We decided not to reappoint anyone even though some of these people helped in his election. Believe me- all hell broke loose after that. It was two years of one fight after another. Long story but the ending is they ditched non partisan elections in a referendum in the next election cycle.

Can’t stop thinking about my grandad tonight. He told me once, “Son, if you don’t have the cash, you can’t afford it.”
The world needs more grandpas.

He also told me, “The first drop of rain that hits you is Gods fault, every one after that is your own darn fault.” It took me about twenty years to figure out he wasn’t talking about the weather.
