Many slugs getting a paycheck lack the ability to look for, and see what steps need to be done. Let alone take initiative and start doing.
If they don’t know, they need to be taught or told.
But common sense is the result of good students, and experience.
Not so common, and explains why most youth has poor work ethics.
Rare, in youngsters.
Good parenting helps.
Mentoring, too.
All that said, some bossy types are horrible people. Especially those in positions of power. Egos.
It’s funny that you think you have “subordinates”.
No gun law will prevent people from stealing guns and knowingly purchasing stolen guns. Even those that come across as being “Patriotic”.
