The second picture looks like the people I would see standing in line for their clot shot during the Covid scam.

Every time I would go into Publix or CVS, and see those lines, my heart would sink. I wanted to run up to those people and basically tell them it was poison. It would be like trying to tell them the Book To Serve Man was a cookbook, and they were on the menu.

seemingly a self obvious statement, but… You cannot MAKE anyone think, feel or see anything. Willful ignorance rules this and every day. Awake and alive is an effort requiring due diligence.

That’s not fair comparison. There are 4 couples in the fat photo vs. 3 couples in the skinny photo so it makes the fat photo look like they are fatter than the skinny photo. (tongue in cheek of course!)

In the United States, officially, 1992. It’s an idea that came out of Sweden in the 1970s and began to have popular affect in the 1980s.
I note, from memory, that before the food pyramid discussions about nutrition invariably started with insuring getting enough protein, then vitamins C,D and A.

My buddy and I used to walk along Waikiki Beach every morning. We called it “whale watching”.
One of us would pick the “whale of the day”, then the other one would have to try and find one bigger before we finished the walk.

I’m old now, chubby and balding but still very tall and stocky. Still a tough old dude. But, in my heyday I was on the beach for many years in many places. A lifelong surfer minus the past 8 or 9 years. I was always very fit and tan . Years of army pt before those surfing years. It’s tough getting old and fat. But I’m still in working shape, alot of people are just obese, my New England grandfather called em “tub o’ lahds”.
