It is my sincere desire to provide readers of this site with the best unbiased information available, and a forum where it can be discussed openly, as our Founders intended. But it is not easy nor inexpensive to do so, especially when those who wish to prevent us from making the truth known, attack us without mercy on all fronts on a daily basis. So each time you visit the site, I would ask that you consider the value that you receive and have received from The Burning Platform and the community of which you are a vital part. I can't do it all alone, and I need your help and support to keep it alive. Please consider contributing an amount commensurate to the value that you receive from this site and community, or even by becoming a sustaining supporter through periodic contributions. I know they fell out of favor during Bush I, but this song always made my eyes rain a little.
The US has turned into one giant turd, but hey!
USA, USA, USA!
What a joke.
Cue Lee Greenwood….
Please don’t.
As much as I loved J. Denver, you cannot go home again, Dorthy had a major brain clot and Toto died of a heart-break. We’re not in Kansas anymore, if Kansas ever existed, which I doubt.
You know why ‘Ricans wear pointy shoes?
To climb chain-link fences faster.
Damn, I remember that joke from the early 60s….
I played that one for my goldfish. It’s a shark now.
.
This one hits me pretty hard…
Do you ever feel like a stranger in a foreign land?
Daily.
Excellent performance… Too bad about the rainbow insertion and the all women fly over.
Never saw this before, but on point.
Just a Good Ol Boy…
Always Loyal
“American Tune”, one of my favorites by Paul Simon. The tune is borrowed from one of JS Bach’s last compositions.
The Cross Is In The Ballpark
The land where our Fathers died………….
The land of the pilgrims pride
Forced us to decide
If we stand , or if we hide.
They point at us , but we’re their children
We FIGHT because , they taught us to be FREE !
The power of music should not be censored because of nationality, sex, or history. If we are not careful, we will censor great works like the Mona Lisa or the “flowers” Music should not be censored because of what the composer did, or what they wrote to music to remember. It should stand on its own. Places like San Diego are not playing this awesome piece of music that Tchaikovsky Wrote to commemorate a great Russian victory over the French Armies under Napoleon. This is just because the composer was Russian. Normality this piece of music would be played on the 4th of July even though a Russian wrote it. So with out further ado, here is Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture.
Listen to it if you wish as it is IMO an awesome music piece for today!
It’s not music … but truly worth listening to …
Paul Harvey …
