Vanlords – A New Form of Urban Encampment

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

I’ve discussed Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) at length as they have been marketed as a new way to force people into perpetual renting. They have even advertised micro-ADUs that are no more than a shed with plumbing. Since addressing the housing crisis would go against plans for the Great Reset, people are turning to desperate measures.

Vanlords is the newly deemed term for people who rent out RVs to desperate families. This has become prominent in Los Angeles, California, where thousands of rental RVs have appeared. The government found a way to house all the illegals who Biden let in the country. The citizens sleep on the street or in vans. ‘”Vanlords,” as L.A. City Councilmember Traci Park calls them, typically buy RVs at auction, then either drive or get them towed to their location of choice.” These are not completely legal, but they are increasing in popularity as people have no alternative to affordable housing. “A lot of times, the inhabitants of the vehicle don’t know the name of the person who rented it from, they don’t have valid contact information, a lot of these vehicles are not registered, they’re not adequately insured,” said Park.

Not all RVs are hooked up to plumbing, and they are not legally hooked up to any electrical system. People have begun dumping waste into storm drains and using public facilities for basic hygiene. This is a step up from a large homeless encampment. Cities are working on changing municipal codes to permit these eyesores to line residential streets. This is not an adequate solution to homelessness and once more hurts the middle class as the upper class would have no need for a few hundred per month. This is another form of urban encampment that will drive down property values and create a dangerous situation for residents, who don’t have many rights, and neighboring residents.

It’s striking how the city officials comment, yet take no action. The US has gotten off at the wrong exit. That said, Crackifornicate could fall into the Pacific tomorrow and we’d all be better off.

RFKJR should go visit there because you know Biden and Trump will never set foot there.
On the bright side, think of how much money those people are saving in taxes, utilities, maintenance costs etc.

Van life works great if only a few are doing it. Once the numbers get large enough, people complain of no taxes and sanitation. It’s why Vans are illegal in Hawaii. If they were legal everyone would do it.

Some might find it acceptable if this phenomenon stays unique to California … but, like all of the other manifestations of our wetback invasion, it will all spread throughout the United States … after all, there are currently well in excess of 45+ million illegal aliens in our once Sovereign Nation.

In other words, ‘Coming soon to a neighborhood near you.’

As over-valued as housing is across the country, would it be such a bad thing to diminish it by any means necessary?

I’ve built a few small (tiny)homes and am confident I could adapt to one on about 20 acres with a large shop and out buildings.

Today you never own any housing, you pay taxes, you pay mortgages, you pay and pay until the day you f****** die.

You are of course essentially correct.

But life ain’t fair or free. We are born into a system we did not create or agree to, but have to deal with. There are rules, written and unwritten, to this game. Understand them.

Play hard. Be as free as possible under the situation.

Get out of debt. Buy remote property with low property tax. Avoid buying new and the tax it adds. Consume as little as possible and trade, barter, cash for second hand stuff. Repurpose stuff. Grow food. Brew beer.

Use the freebie system as much as possible. Be a net cost to the state. Starve the beast.

The system is so damaged it can’t be repaired. Break it entirely and hope to build better next time.

The 800,000 pound gorilla in the room that no one wants to recognize is the 45+ million illegal aliens in the United States … and ALL of them live in some sort of dwelling unit or other (often on the taxpayer largess) …

Imagine the drop in housing prices — homes, apartments, etc. — if those 45+ million wetbacks weren’t here … with the massive drop in criminal activity that would accompany their leaving.

Imagine being able to immediately rid ourselves and our (formerly) Sovereign Nation of those 45+ million illegals — how much money we’d save (the government estimates $350+ billion/year) on free medical care, free education, free housing — and the 10,000,000 housing units that would likely become available for US Citizens and Taxpayers …

We Do Not Need Illegal Aliens in the United States … period.

I did. Or a lot of us. Every morning in the summer thru fall, at 6AM a school bus would show up at the local grocery store parking lot. School kids or anyone else who wanted to make some money picking fruit or crops would show up with a bag lunch, be taken up to the orchards in the north part of the county, and brought back around 6pm. Get paid weekly. Some got paid every day.

My grandparents. They came out from Iowa before settling in Oregon (Grandpa went on to become mayor of Toledo, OR and own the grocery after they got on their feet). Family had been here since colonial times. I have pics of my mom riding on the bedroll strapped to the model T as they went from farm to farm to pick fruit and veg.

I would be happy to pay more for food. Our whole economic system is a cluster f_k. I am a full fledged right wing, 2nd amendment hard working American. Eventually the prices would come down or maybe it would take the elites paying a livable wage. America has been fundamentally changed by immigration and it should be stopped, with all illegals deported . One way or the other. Either they leave of their own will or run out by force. Culture and race is important. I am white and I have worked as hard or harder than any goddamned immigrant for my family.

Illegal immigration has displaced the lower economic classes. Social programs have made this kind of lifestyle easy for those who choose it. Why work when you can live free and spend everyday getting fucked up and loafing… If you can do it on the beach, that is even better.

Hog Boy Pritzker here in Illinois has now made it a crime to refuse to rent or sell to an illegal alien. How do you do a background check or anything else with someone whose identity cannot be verified? I wonder if this in any way could be construed to be a 3rd amendment issue?

This is horrible, why can’t the US do like the Philippines or Rio in Brazil, have permanent housing shanty town slums build on the sides of steep hills where even the police are afraid to tread? We are really falling behind the rest of the world with tent encampments and van lords! Permanent shantytown slums for all!

I heard there was this giant island of trash floating in the ocean the size of the United States or some shit.

Why don’t we just drop them there? Maybe in 100 years they’ll take over the world…if Mr. Nimbus allows it.
