Paramount Falls On ‘Mission: Impossible’ Box Office Miss; Sound Of Freedom Outperforms

Via ZeroHedge

Paramount shares fell 3% in premarket trading in New York after Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One missed box office projections in its debut weekend across US and Canada, according to Bloomberg.

Paramount and Skydance spent $290 million on the production of the action movie. However, since its release on July 12, it has only grossed $80 million, falling short of Paramount Pictures’ projection of $90 million. Over the weekend, the film’s earnings were $56.2 million, missing Boxoffice Pro’s forecasted range of $61 million to $75 million in ticket sales from Friday to Sunday.

Second on the box office list is the anti-child sex trafficking film Sound of Freedom. This film continues to shock the entertainment industry with how well it has done in the 13 days since its release, with near-term projections to break the $100 million mark.

Meanwhile, progressive mainstream media continues to bash the awareness of child sex trafficking, labeling the movie — a ‘conspiracy theory.’

Perhaps the corporate press and their buddies at the big studios are pushing disinformation because the film by a small studio continues to outperform major films, such as Disney’s latest Indiana Jones.

I have a dilemma. I do want to see the new movie, Oppenheimer especially so because it was filmed in IMax. My problem is that I’m hearing this movie will save Hollywood which I loathe and wish death upon. To go or not to go?

You’re part of the problem if you give money to people who hate you, your way of life and want to sodomize your child.

Lust vs. Wrath. That IS a dilemma.

I’d go with “redirect your lust and let Wrath run wild.”

You don’t need Imax. It’s cool, but not needed. Watch free movies online, starve hollywood! A simple search will give you dozens of options to watch pirated films, right in your browser. You’ll probably have to click out of a couple ads to watch films and tv shows on those sites- it’s not a big deal, and it’s the price you pay for victory against the media empires. Get familiar with using VPN’s, if you can.

They are weak, and NOW is the time to strike them.

BOYCOTT ALL OF HOLLYWOOD RIGHT NOW! THIS IS YOUR MOMENT! WE MUST BOYCOTT THE MEDIA RIGHT NOW!

TEACH EM A LESSON LIKE WE DID WITH ANHEUSER AND TARGET!

SPREAD THE WORD!!

This should be at the very top of our agendas for the moment. Destroy hollywood.

This article is disingenuous. Mission: Impossible grossed $56.2 m over the weekend compared to $27 m for Sound of Freedom, and in 4 days M:I has taken in over $80 m, with Sound of Freedom getting $85 m in 13 days.

Calling M:I a failure is way premature. SoF definitely stole some of its box office, but now that most who wanted to see it have I expect its grosses to fall, though it will break the $100 m mark. M:I ought to do better this week because it only faces competition from that whitewashed biopic of Oppenheimer and from Barbie; if either of those outperform M:I or SoF I will be very surprised.

Having seen M:I and enjoying it, I hope it does make its money. It is 2 hours and 43 minutes of wall-to-wall action, with stunning set-piece stunts — as expected. Just like John Wick 4, another over 2-and-a-half-hour extravaganza, the plot is secondary, but for pure entertainment (without a bunch of gay/Woke nonsense) it is unbeatable; which is why I go to movies, to be entertained, after all.

I would highly recommend seeing M:I over the other ones coming out this week.

Obviously disingenious article.
Made only $80m in first week instead of $90m expected is really a giveaway.

I’m not going to watch SofF because I’ve been hearing/reading about traffic ing for years and it’s very hard to know the truth but it’s most likely going organizedly on.
Also, I don’t want to give money to the people/businesses involved. Their associations are known and they are not good.

I will most likely watch Mission Impossible some Saturday night this winter when it’s streaming. I need a bit of suspended reality once in awhile.

Or because by pretending to hate the film is part of the marketing strategy to certain types of people.
