Trump seems to be the only one concerned about the casualties of war. When I went to Mar-a-Lago in March 2020, Trump stressed the fact that he was tired of calling mothers and telling them that their sons had been killed in Afghanistan. Granted, he would have devised a better strategy than Biden of simply leaving, but we avoided war under Trump.
“Do you want Russia or Ukraine to win the war?” the clueless CNN reporter kept asking Trump as if she were asking him who he wanted to win the World Cup or Super Bowl.
No one wins in war. People say they want to see Ukraine decimate Russian troops, perhaps even all of Russia. Do they realize what they are saying? The people on the battlefield are not the decision-makers. They are young men and women who have barely had enough time to experience this world. They have no say in politics or the logistics of warfare. Many do not even wish to be there but have no choice. Every time you hear of soldiers dying, those are someone’s children, grandchildren, cousins, friends — you get the picture.
Trump said he could create peace within 24 hours. I would be interested to hear his proposal. It is a shame that everything Trump says is controversial. It is amazing how wanting peace and preventing mass murder is now a controversial statement. You’re on the wrong side of history for not wanting more people dead on one side. The Neocons are mass murderers. Prigozhinm, while a bit crazed, accurately stated the people who are waging these wars are not sending their children to the battlefield to die. Yet those same leaders are willing to sacrifice a generation of young men to play as toy soldiers in their depraved war games.
It is my sincere desire to provide readers of this site with the best unbiased information available, and a forum where it can be discussed openly, as our Founders intended. Interestingly, even those who talk about “representative government” refuse to accept any
personal responsibility for actions taken by those for whom they voted. If their candidate
of choice enacts a harmful “law,” or raises “taxes,” or wages war, the voters never feel
the same guilt or shame they would feel if they themselves had personally done such
things, or had hired or instructed someone else to do such things. This fact demonstrates
that even the most enthusiastic voters do not actually believe the rhetoric about
“representative government,” and do not view politicians as their representatives. The
terminology does not match reality, and the only purpose of the rhetoric is to obfuscate
the fact that the relationship between every “government” and its subjects is the same as
the relationship between a master and a slave. One master may whip his slaves less
severely than another; one master may allow his slaves to keep more of what they
produce; one master may take better care of his slaves – but none of that changes the
basic, underlying nature of the master-slave relationship. The one with the right to rule is
the master; the one with the obligation to obey is the slave. And that is true even when
people choose to describe the situation using inaccurate rhetoric and deceptive
euphemisms, such as “representative government,” “consent of the governed,” and “will
of the people.

Trump was in over his head and didn’t push back in any serious ways each time he saw his own government actively resisting his policy.
As to his ‘having a plan’ for Afghanistan, this is a great example of my point. Under Trump we brokered a series of ceasefires with the Taliban. The final peace deal gave us 18 months to exit the country. However, even though the Taliban honored their word and restrained themselves from attacks on US/NATO forces during this period, we made no efforts to begin drawing down and were actively finding loopholes to attack Taliban fighters. It was madness.
Every time we inquired up the chain of command – why haven’t we started collapsing our footprint? we’re running out of time! – it became clear someone in the Pentagon was interfering. “There’s an election coming, so we don’t want to move on something that may be contradictory to new policy.” Where I come from, intentional sabotage of current policy to garner favor with an opposing regime is called treason, but what do I know?
That new regime clearly didn’t want to exit their forever war du jour, but once they took over the clock had already run out…their hand was forced. When biden announced (one month before the exit date) that we would be honoring the peace deal we signed 17 months prior (by leaving three months after the agreed-upon date), magically bases started closing down overnight (literally). Clown world.

I never said he was powerless. I said he chose not to.
He chose not to lock Hillary up after knowing she was behind the Russia hoax. She knew about the steal and told Biden not to concede on election night under any circumstances.
Trump’s response on April 27 of this year was to call her a friend and give her a new nickname- “Beautiful Hilary.”

As the rest of the world is finding out, the US is just not agreement capable.
There are no adults left in Washington. Probably none in the Pentagon either.
