My wife and i recently attended a large party given my her side of the family. I am a recently retired RN. Given that, she thinks i should have avoided the topic of covid; or at minimum avoided phrases such as cult behavior,sheep people,vaccines as bioweapons,mask morons,etc. She is currently not speaking to me. I was looking at frozen pizzas at Costco this past week … and one of the non-Costco brands was a 4-cheese pizza … and after the long list of ingredients — including the line that says
CONTAINS: MILK AND SOY was the statement: CONTAINS BIOENGINEERED FOOD INGREDIENTS. Costco’s own frozen pepperoni pizza has the same statement — that it contains bioengineered food ingredients.
I asked the folks at the front desk at Costco what was meant by ‘bioengineered food ingredients’ and no one had an answer … nor did anyone seem at all interested in finding one.
Whether we older (Boomer) folks like to admit it or not, we let the schools go woke and stupid. We let the politicians open the borders. (Remember Regan’s amnesty for illegals and the promise that “we’ll enforce the laws from now on!”) We let the banks and the Treasury inflate the dollar supply. We let the corporations go overseas.
I understand that YOU and I and most of our friends didn’t like all that crap, and spoke out against it. I understand that the Republican Party made wonderful speeches against all that stuff — while doing damned little to stop it. (For a couple of years, Bush had the White House and Repubs had the House of Representatives and the Senate. Why weren’t ALL the Federal gun control laws repealed? Why did the border stay open? Why did all the Federal Agencies continue ruling by dictate? Why wasn’t control of the schools returned to States? Why did the deficit grow even faster than it did under Clinton? And on and on..)
It sucks taking blame, especially when we personally were against a lot of it — but the fact is, it happened on our watch. The last couple generations are what they are because WE let it happen. The truth hurts.
