To launch an object into a stable low-earth orbit requires accelerating the object to orbital velocity (approximately 5 miles per second) tangential to the Earth’s surface. We don’t have the technology to punch through atmosphere on a direct vertical path without burning the object to dust from frictional resistance/coefficient . Rocket Science 101.

They do, however, throw it somewhat up and it immediately starts to arch. The up is necessary to account for the arch. Because gravity.
Since rockets, as a practical matter, launch straight up rather than parallel to the ground, they have to “hang a right” so that their acceleration is tangential to the surface of the Earth.
Otherwise they would just keep moving on the normal, i.e. away from the Earth, rather than the “crosswise” to it necessary for going into orbit.
Because the Earth is, ya know, a spheroid, and gravitational force is toward its center.

My favorite part of this video is the instantanious liftoff when they rockets ignite. Somehow these folks have figured out how to obtain immediate vertical acceleration in a manned rocket. I’m used to the old kind of rockets that have to obey the laws of physics and build up their thrust in order to overcome gravity. Amazing!

Like why does every single crater appear to be perpendicular strike in relation to the surface of the Moon? Shouldn’t some of them hit it at an oblique angle? There ought to be as many trenches and lnear scars as there are perfect circles, right? But after watching hours of that- very impressive imagery I must say, whoever created it- I was unable to find any. Equally there are huge swaths of perfectly unmarred terrain, as if it had never known a meteor strike. That doesn’t make a lot of sense either. I understand random patterns, but not an either/or type surface.
I tried finding some kind of plausible explanations from NASA’s website, but most of that tried to explain it away by saying all craters look like that because that’s how all craters look. I think that’s the ‘no true Scotsman’ fallacy, but I could be wrong.
So I asked Chat GPT and got this-

Shouldn’t it vary somewhat? Whoever asked it before- so that it came up as the cached version in Google- couldn’t have possibly framed the question exactly the way I did because no two humans write the same. Maybe it’s possible, but it seems unlikely. That would indicate that Chat GPT had a preprogrammed response to any inquiry along those lines and it would be the same one NASA uses.
I don’t know, maybe I’m wrong about the Moon, but this looks sketchy as hell to me and everything surrounding the claims about going to the Moon are just drenched in pseudo scientific, implausible sounding bafflegarb. I don’t ever get the feeling that they’re playing it straight.
My best guess, based on current events and the competing narratives of USA v. Russia is that this is just a big old poke in the eye, a kind of F you to America’s political elite, daring them to say something. The fact that NASA or the US media is virtually silent about this is another indicator that this is not at all what it appears to be, but YMMV.
