I feel sympathy for her also — but it is a very muted sympathy.
Some years ago a very nice rattlesnake made its home within a few yards of my cabin’s front door. I killed it. Not the rattlesnake’s fault, and it was just doing what rattlesnakes are designed to do, but it was too dangerous to have where people regularly walked around.
Same thing with Greta. She is just doing what she was taught (programmed, really) to do. But she is like a rattlesnake at the front door and it is important that our admirable human empathy does not blind us to the larger picture.
