How many of the cars are drive by wire? Easily hacked.
drive by wire only controls the trans and throttle on modern vehicles. the steering can be nudged to maintain a lane but will not take the wheel from the drivers control and direct the vehicle in an unwanted path. but that said a sudden burst f power when not expecting it can cause a crash. i once drove a new tesla…. attempted to drive hands free and the first utility pole we approached the car accelerated a rapid pace then swerved to hit the pole. i had to snatch the wheel and recover from the intentional crash the ai had decided to cause…i say programing not hacking is the cause of many of these crashes.
If the vehicle can back itself into a parallel parking spot, think about it. All the control is there.

I’ve come across quite a few of these. Here are a couple examples.
The woman driving this car was obviously out of it, speeding down a residential street then crashing thru a fence and continuing over 100 yards thru a school yard and into a building.
Motorhome plows thru multiple cars and kept on going.
In all these that I’ve come across there is in interesting comment that is common to them all:
“It was determined that alcohol was not involved”.
New York state/Cali.,really no surprise here!
The deadliest vaxes all went to red states, though:

There is a canyon section of the highway near here. Much two lane with very few passing areas. Always been dangerous as people get pissed behind motorhomes and make risky passes, resulting in several head-ons and multi vehicle pile ups every summer. Been that way for decades.
But in the last two years, multiple single vehicle accidents. Lone cars just driving into the mountain or over the cliff into the river. More than two a year is very odd. Several last year and five this year already. Something has changed.
What a mystery. It is like people just died suddenly at the wheel. I wonder what it could be?
