It makes me laugh when I read anything about the lockdowns. People speak of them as if they were something real, as if some invisible force kept them confined. I will tell you that they weren’t real. All that happened during the “lockdown” was a bunch of businesses shut down because someone said they had to. Those with balls said “fuck you’. The marine who runs the barbershop where I get my 6 aught every week never shut down. Despite being fined and sued. Hospitals are overwhelmed because so many hospitals have closed down in the last 20 years. They are almost exclusively in affluent areas where residents have health insurance. Poor people have to go to the one county hospital or flood the emergency rooms of the few hospitals in affluent areas. As hospitals have “duty of care”, their emergency rooms are filled with drug ODs and work related accidents.
No hospitals are ovewhelmed.
