I’ve been making this point from the start. The U.S. will burn through a Brigade every 2-3 days. The entire deployed force in Europe would be depleted in less than two weeks, assuming we can keep them supplied with fuel and ammunition, which we can’t. A war in Europe is suicidal.

While the Chinese may not be able to match the US ship for ship, they do outnumber the US navy and even their small coastal vessels now sport hypersonic anti ship missiles that the US has no defense against. Their land based hypersonic missiles have a range of a thousand miles, and their satellite network keeps track of every ship in the Pacific. In addition, they have the very latest in Russian layered anti air and missile defenses that have proven to be far superior to the US Patriot system in Ukraine.
In addition I am sure that China has also copied the Poseidon nuclear torpedo from Russia which is capable, if detonated 1000 ft. under costal waters, to send a 1500′ radioactive tsunami to wipe any city along the US coast off the map. We have not even started talking about drones yet. China is without any doubt the largest producer of military drones in the world and has been for at least a decade. They have long range military drones capable of crossing the Pacific and striking far into the interior of the US. How many they have produce over the past decade or so while we have been threatening them with war is anyone’s guess.
The US has always been lucky in that it has never suffered domestic damage from any war since 1812, but that would definitely not be the case if we went to war with China. Any war in Taiwan, would be an attack on China’s mainland, and they would retaliate by attacking US cities, do not doubt that for a moment.
