Christopher Wright was a well-known businessman in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He had a good life. A married man. Three children – including a newborn.
The other day he was in downtown for a high school reunion – meeting up with alumni from The Baylor School.
Mr. Wright was accosted on the street by a career criminal. He was shot in the head and he died at a nearby hospital.
The killer is a man named Darryl Roberts. Over the years this thug has been arrested and charged at least 66 times.
In 2003 he pulled a knife on a TJ Maxx security guard who tried to stop him from shoplifting.
In 2009 he pulled a gun on a store clerk. And in 2010 he fired rounds into a house during a home invasion.
He’s been arrested more than five dozen times, but the New York Post reports he’s never served more than sixth months behind bars.
Our justice system is broken. Defund the police, bail reform. Progressive policies that are putting all of our lives in danger.
And now a little baby — born just eight weeks ago — will never know her father.

The population of Chattanooga is about 181,000 not a large city, not a small one either. Five years ago this would have been a Chicago or Detroit story, not a Chatanooga one.

Her philosophy on criminal prosecution in her own words
“I’m defense-minded to the core,” she sids. “Some of the attorneys in this office have prosecuted, but I’m not one who could easily jump over. I love the underdog. I’d rather advocate for someone than be the person who’s sending them to prison.”

Chattanooga is a progressive paradise in TN much like Asheville in NC a few hours to the north and Atlanta to the south. My progressive family members openly pine about moving there.
My leftist progressive nice lives in Asheville. She is moving out because the city has become overrun with homeless encampments. And I’m sure that she will.vote for the same type of leftist politicians that she supported in Asheville, because the next time it will be different.
That was once a great mountain getaway town. Completely destroyed by northeastern retirees with fat pensions bringing their little slice of heaven to the southeast.

Miami public school teacher seriously injured after being attacked by a FIVE year old
A public school teacher was attacked and hospitalized by a five-year-old student. Her injuries are said to be serious and may require surgery. She had a bad concussion, and other unspecified injures.
It was the THIRD time the same student attacked her.
Pine Lakes is 95% “Low Income,” 58% Black, and 39% Hispanic.

Memphis is exponentially worse that Chattanooga if that’s believable. Son’s office in Memphis gets broken into regularly but not his Chattanooga one.
