like on your belt ! a handgun is what you use to get to your rifle. or shotgun.
get as many magazines as possible. it a lot faster to swap out magazines than it is to load one.

The financial collapse with societal collapse will solidify communism. The rest of the world will move on entertained by our struggles because of what we did the them.
Whenever an empire dies, it breaks up. The US will be no different, especially because, worldwide, modernity will be set back at least a century after the collapse. Supply chains will break, first because of credit issues, then because the world economy is so interdependent on long distance sourcing of spare parts and raw materials, no one region can sustain a modern economy or way of life on its own.
Some of the successor states to the Former US may very try out comunism, others will go different ways. We may even see a monarchy or two. The communist ones will fail, because it’s an impossible economic model.

The ransacking rampages and carjackings in the DC metro area are no joke. It is radiating out of the city and into the recently safe and secure suburbs. Residents in my town (which is on a Metro line) are shocked by the frequent shoplifting by people who brazenly walk out the door with items from grocery stores. The criminals are violent and physically threaten and attack when confronted. This community (citizens as well as police and local government) is unused to and unprepared for this rapid escalation. Too many sympathizers: “oh, they must be hungry. They must need it.” This type of response only draws more crime and military-age males from “elsewhere” to the area.
From what I’ve seen among people I know, most are unaware of the context and increase….. this makes the situation worse because the community cannot band together to stop it, without awareness that this is the tip of the iceberg, this is already well underway, and it will continue to escalate. In the meantime, grannies and office workers continue to go about their business as though nothing has changed.

I knew we hzd a problem the very first time i heard the phrase “social justice”. It was 2008 and i had just moved next door to a man named john quinn.
We have to have a parallel economy of some sort. A means of exchange other than fiat money, outside the system. Farmers to truckers to markets that are willing to operate outside the system. Nothing will be successful without that in place.
We actually have one in place, it is the current coin system, which is mainly based on a cooper standard, which has been used as money since not only the founding of the usA, but likely at least as long as gold and silver. It certainly could be supplemented with other copper coins etc., and other metals like gold and silver, but the gold and silver changers (money changers, where have I heard that before?) have done a good job of framing mainly gold and silver as the only alternative to keep their biz going, at the expanse of actually promoting viable solutions. A solution that has been used repeatedly tried and true many times in the past, recent and ancient.
