The funny thing is the most innumerate are the ones who say “because Science” and who put “we believe in science” signs in their front yard. They couldn’t science their way out of a wet paper bag.
New Yorkistan is requiring all public school districts to buy all electric busses by 2025, and completely phase out ALL diesels by 2035. The average diesel bus costs 120-150k while an EV bus costs 300-400k. The range of an EV bus is half that of diesel in the most ideal conditions. On top of all that, the bus garages have to be retrofitted for charging the electric busses. Rural school districts are having to relocate their bus garages or pay massive amounts of money to have the necessary power infrastructure run to the premises.
Of course this is all being done on purpose…
The current price of electricity in NY is “only” about 20 cents per kilowatt hour. In California it’s about 45 cents. So the people most likely to fall for this shit will get the most ass-raped by the cost of EV’s.

GM and Toyota are shifting to Hydrogen fuel cell production, Ford is halting EV production.
They got what cars crave.
Ford is apparently losing more than $40K (that’s forty thousand dollars) per EV it sells … and both Ford and GM have announced cutbacks in their investments in EV production (including battery plants).
You can force a round peg in a square hole all you want but it is still a round peg in a square hole.
I think I read Ford has lost 4.5 Billion on EV’s. They are building a YUGE battery plant south of Louisville that is so big it looks like a city. Still need batteries for Hydrogen.

You also need hydrogen for hydrogen and the laws of thermodynamics still haven’t gone anywhere.

Blue Oval City, a new Ford EV plant is being built here in W TN. The state has already invested a lot of money putting in interstate interchanges and roads to access the plant. Dirt work has been going on for quite some time.

EV is clearly not a mature technology yet. Uncle is forcing it onto the market because the correct pockets are being lined. Maybe plug-in hybrid technology is ready.
It reminds me of late 70’s/early 80’s American diesel engine technology. It puked black smoke, was loud, and the engines had serious reliability issues. The public soured on diesel until VW made great diesel engines that easily attained 50mpg reliably, quietly, and didn’t puke black smoke.
What did Uncle about that? Changed emissions standards and then VW gamed the system. VW failed testing over .05g of soot per mile. Clean and efficient diesel was essentially killed because Big3 couldn’t compete and Uncle hates diesel.
Our fleet is diesel. The VW averages 42mpg, Jeep 28mpg, & BMW 32. All are better on highway and will go 600mi between fillups on trips. Much cleaner technology but the right people aren’t getting bribed.
Do the math. Liberals never do the math. Most liberals do not even know the energy source their local power company uses to power the grid to charge their EV. Besides as we all here know it’s not about saving the planet it’s about control of the people on the planet.
