Was at my local small town Army Surplus store (that sells ammo at reasonable prices) this afternoon adding to what could be the final prep stage….who knows been here before…but this looks like it???
I hang there often as the couple that owns it and I are of a like mind, have become good friends, and always jaw prophecy, politics, economics, conspiracy facts (all the theories are proven as far as I’m concerned) yada, yada, yada. Great pure blood second generation owners who can rattle off a list of former customers or their customer’s former family members or other locals who have ‘died suddenly’ or are dying or are in ‘sudden declining health’ from co-winky dink timing of multiple needle rides.
(Once they were naming names and a couple of customers were browsing and could over hear us and got sudden scared looks on their faces. I suspect they were jabbed and hearing the growing list filled them with deer in the light obvious frozen fear).

People who look like they have never, ever, been inside a surplus store in their lives, non-campers, non-hunters, all have been transformed into sudden Preppers. Many coming from great distances (many called ahead of time) are coming in with long lists of every type of ‘prep’ the store sells, making massive purchases this store use to rarely see…but is now seeing multiple times a day!

As for water, if you’re south of the 30th parallel plant a couple of Moringa trees, powdered Moringa seeds can be used to purify water.
Just use a sand filter. Sand is easier to come by than planting some shrubbery and waiting for it to grow so you can purify water.
