Sound. Vibration of the turbines causes constant sound underwater. This either messes with the whales’ ability to navigate, or, just straight up drives them mad. Either way, lots of unusual beachings of marine mammals (sensitive to/ dependent upon sonar) in the vicinity of offshore wind farms.

Sure. It’s pretty simple.

You know the giant windmills they place out in the ocean? They were engineered and designed on the assumption that the earth’s curvature is eight inches per mile squared.

When the contractors get the fans components out to the deep water and start building the thing, they notice that since there is no curvature, the engineering is off and the fan blades are so damn long that they go beneath the surface of the water about 100 feet.

The contractors say it’s not worth their time to take it all back to shore, they get paid regardless, so they just build this monstrosity which churns the water with its oversized blades like a outboard boat motor, the propeller partially in the water, churning and slicing and roiling the sea.

The whales, being curious creatures, come to see what all the splashing is about, and they get cut apart like some horrific marine abbatoir. It’s a grotesque scene of blood and chum, and the deafening screams of whales bring the most hardened sailors to tears, their faces ashen with the abomination they are witnessing. Think Stephen King on acid. Think HP Lovecraft drunk on absinthe. Think a Matthew Brady Civil War photo, but in color.

There’s your executive summary. Try not to reach for the gun beside you on your bedside table. This is our world. This is progress. This is Tikkun Olam writ large and cetacean. This is why we fight.

He doesn’t even come close to anyone who I’d imagine would play video games.

I would appreciate it if more people would read that comment. I put a lot of thought into it. I need a better EROEI.

Thanks Anon. Since the blades couldn’t contact the water cuz friction, I was guessing sonic frequency or maybe electromagnetic radiation from underwater cables or some variation of these.

And yer funny A.P. I get a kick out of your sublime satire that is never quite unaccurate😉

Thank you. It’s hard to say what will strike people as funny. The last line, however, came to me spontaneously and was not crafted. I like that line also.

I write to make myself laugh, mostly.

Understood. I crack myself up…even when no one else is laughing. Easy for me in this group.

I find it unbelievable that the blades are going 100′ into the water. Our engineers are that stupid?

I wouldn’t say it’s the engineers…

Harmonics (man-made) confuse disturb whale’s natural navigation abilities. They knew this YEARS AGO, but there’s special interests that make $billions by ignoring this travesty.

Everyone forgot to mention the organization investigating the whale deaths is being payed by the Wind industry to hide the causes of death. Organization name is Atlantic Marine Conservation Society. Of course Joe gets his 10%.

The European Union walks back its ruinous proposal to mandate minimum energy efficiency standards for buildings, as the political will for climate policies continues to crumble across the West
Climatism is slowly dying, and the only remaining question, is how long it will yet linger and how much damage it will do before it is gone.

Just look at updated building codes and insulation requirements. It’s an R-60 world out there. Fine if you can afford it.
