THIS DAY IN HISTORY – FDR inaugurated to fourth term – 1945

Via History.com

On January 20, 1945, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the only president to be elected to three terms in office, is inaugurated to his fourth—and final—term.

At the height of the Great Depression, Roosevelt, then governor of New York, was elected the 32nd president of the United States. In his inaugural address in 1933, President Roosevelt promised Americans that “the only thing we have to fear is fear itself” and outlined his “New Deal”–an expansion of the federal government as an instrument of employment opportunity and welfare. Although criticized by the business community, Roosevelt’s progressive legislation improved America’s economic climate, and in 1936 he swept to reelection.

During his second term, he became increasingly concerned with German and Japanese aggression and began a long campaign to awaken America from its isolationist slumber. In 1940, with World War II raging in Europe and the Pacific, Roosevelt agreed to run for an unprecedented third term. Reelected by Americans who valued his strong leadership, he proved a highly effective commander in chief during World War II. Under his guidance, America became, in his own words, the “great arsenal of democracy” and succeeded in shifting the balance of power in World War II firmly in the Allies’ favor. In 1944, with the war not yet won, Roosevelt was reelected to a fourth term. Three months after his inauguration, he died. Roosevelt’s unparalleled 13 years as president led to the 1947 passing of the 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, limiting future presidents to a maximum of two elected terms in office, or one elected term if the president already served more than two years of another president’s elected term.

FDR, the first Democrat Saint. One of the worst Globalist tools installed in the Oval Office…it’s always those from wealth and power who try and inflict Communist ideology on the masses.

Many years ago I watched the Grapes of Wrath only because it was said to be such a great movie. What I saw was how fdr was instituting communism through all those do nothing programs. Someone on this site explained to me that it was supposed to be about family sticking together. Funny how people see the same thing and think differently. However, I can explain the difference in perceptions. I know how fdr starved millions as he was paying farmers to destroy their livestock. produce, etc. I know how fdr confiscated peoples gold then turned around and devalued the dollar, I know how fdr sacrificed the pacific fleet with all those sailors dying a horrible death in order to enter the war and help his buddy stalin, I know…

You know …

From ‘Men In Black’ —

Edwards: Why the big secret? People are smart. They can handle it.
Kay: A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it. Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you’ll know tomorrow.
Edwards: What’s the catch?
Kay: The catch? The catch is you will sever every human contact. Nobody will ever know you exist anywhere. Ever. I’ll give you to sunrise to think it over.

The Bolshevik bastard and his entire administration should have been hanged for treason.

From Major Jordans Diaries
by George Racey Jordan

From the Preface

My reason for writing this book is very simple: I would like to keep the record straight. I want to put in permanent form. the full story of my experiences as a Lend-Lease expediter and liaison officer with the Russians during the war, when I served for two crucial years, from May 1942 to Lune 1944, both at Newark Airport and at the big air base at Great Falls, Montana.

I went into the Army as a businessman in my forties and a veteran of World War I. From the first, as my story shows, I worked wholeheartedly on behalf of the Russians because, like everyone else, I considered it my duty to do so. That they were satisfied with my efforts is indicated by the fact that it was Colonel Kotikov, head of the Russian mission at Great Falls, who requested my promotion to Major.

But the tremendous volume of Lend-Lease material going through under “diplomatic immunity,” the infiltration of SOviet agents through the Pipeline, the shipments of non- supplies and even military secrets, were more than I could stomach. I finally protested through proper channels, first in Great Falls, and then in Washington; nothing happened. This was in 1944, while I was still in the Army.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt FDR My Exploited Father In Law ( 1970)
by Curtis B. Dall,

DEDICATION
Dedicated to young Americans-May you benefit from observing how certain shadowy forces contrive to ruthlessly advance their own financial and ideological objectives at your expense. They select, then groom, and ultimately control many of our highest government officials. They plan the wars and through “foreign policy” arrange to set the stage for incidents to initiate hostilities. They overwork the word “Peace” to mislead you and create a plausible smoke screen in order to conceal their real operations. You can recognize who “they” are.
Hence, I say, young Americans, be alerted-be more effective than my unsuspecting and bemused generation.. Sally-forth, defend and preserve for yourself and those who follow you our great heritage of freedom and liberty.

Stalin’s War: A New History of the Second World War

SHORTLISTED FOR THE DUKE OF WELLINGTON MEDAL AND THE GILDER LEHRMAN PRIZE FOR MILITARY HISTORY 2022’A terrific read … McMeekin is a superb writer’ David Aaronovitch, The Times’Gripping, authoritative, accessible and always bracingly revisionist’ Simon Sebag Montefiore’Impressive … A new look at the conflict, which poses new questions and provides new and often unexpected answers to the old ones’ Serhii Plokhy, The GuardianIn this remarkable, ground-breaking new book Sean McMeekin marks a generational shift in our view of Stalin as an ally in the Second World War. Stalin’s only difference from Hitler, he argues, was that he was a successful murderous predator. With Hitler dead and the Third Reich in ruins, Stalin created an immense new Communist empire. Among his holdings were Czechoslovakia and Poland, the fates of which had first set the West against the Nazis and, of course, China and North Korea, the ramifications of which we still live with today.Until Barbarossa wrought a public relations miracle, turning him into a plucky ally of the West, Stalin had murdered millions, subverted every norm of international behaviour, invaded as many countries as Hitler had, and taken great swathes of territory he would continue to keep. In the larger sense the global conflict grew out of not only German and Japanese aggression but Stalin’s manoeuvrings, orchestrated to provoke wars of attrition between the capitalist powers in Europe and in Asia. Throughout the war Stalin chose to do only what would benefit his own regime, not even aiding in the effort against Japan until the conflict’s last weeks. Above all, Stalin’s War uncovers the shocking details of how the US government (to the detriment of itself and its other allies) fuelled Stalin’s war machine, blindly agreeing to every Soviet demand, right down to agents supplying details of the atomic bomb.

Stalin’s War
Sean McMeekin

Why shooting Germans was US Treasury business was not
obvious. Nonetheless, that this was considered Treasury business
by summer 1944 is clear in the historical record. Somehow, in the
aftermath of the Allied landings at Normandy, which brought the
prospect of Germany’s final defeat in sight, a long-running policy
discussion in the Treasury on how to administer the German
economy after the war morphed into an open-ended revenge
fantasy. During the same meeting at which he and White spoke of
death quotas for captured Germans, Morgenthau also proposed “the
complete shut-down of the Ruhr [industrial area]” in terms clearly
designed to inflict maximum human suffering: “Just strip it. I don’t
care what happens to the population.… I would take every mine,
every mill and factory and wreck it… steel, coal, everything. Just
close it down. I am for destroying it first and we will worry about the
population second.… Why should I worry about what happens to [the
German] people?”3

hitler’s invasion of russia preempted stalin’s massive invasion of europe. ussr’s military was by far the largest in the world. hitler’s destruction of it saved western europe from a gulag existence.

I asked my 95 year old aunt about the CCC and her response was that it was a program to pay four people to do the job of one. Sounds like it was a template for all subsequent gov’t
