QUOTES OF THE DAY

-----------------------------------------------------
It is my sincere desire to provide readers of this site with the best unbiased information available, and a forum where it can be discussed openly, as our Founders intended. But it is not easy nor inexpensive to do so, especially when those who wish to prevent us from making the truth known, attack us without mercy on all fronts on a daily basis. So each time you visit the site, I would ask that you consider the value that you receive and have received from The Burning Platform and the community of which you are a vital part. I can't do it all alone, and I need your help and support to keep it alive. Please consider contributing an amount commensurate to the value that you receive from this site and community, or even by becoming a sustaining supporter through periodic contributions. What’s despicable is that while none of us have signed a damn thing, EVERY GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE takes an oath…essentially signing a contract…and yet ZERO consequences when they break their contractual obligations.

A-yuh, I sure dinna sign no social (or other) contract:

“And yet we have what purports, or professes, or is claimed, to be a contract—the Constitution—made eighty years ago, by men who are now all dead, and who never had any power to bind us, but which (it is claimed) has nevertheless bound three generations of men, consisting of many millions, and which (it is claimed) will be binding upon all the millions that are to come; but which nobody ever signed, sealed, delivered, witnessed, or acknowledged; and which few persons, compared with the whole number that are claimed to be bound by it, have ever read, or even seen, or ever will read, or see.”
― Lysander Spooner, No Treason: The Constitution of No Authority

And since slavery was (purportedly) abolished, well, I guess no man can draft and sign a contract taking hold of my ass.

Yes, RP “said” many good things.
But what did he “DO” while in Congress?
RP was known as the “King of Earmarks”
RP would load up a unrelated Bill with pork for his district.
Those Bills were certain to Pass.
With great fanfare, RP would vote against the Bills when his “Nay” vote was pointless.
