Just think if today’s sheboons went back in time 50 years & the damage they’d cause, with all that glass…the beverage companies knew before most of the public did.
What if it was the plastic bottles that created the problem the way we have it now? Well, and all the other shit they added inside the bottle since then.
One of the big issues that led to the change to plastic bottles and containers is that of weight … glass weighs a lot more than plastic. And the change is continuing — witness just how thin (and fragile) plastic bottles are today compared with plastic bottles 6-8 yers ago. And plastic produce bags are getting so thin these days that they rip before you can even put stuff into them … wasting those nasty bags in the process.
And, of course, none of this gets even close to the chemical hazards of plastics vs. glass … and how many of those chemicals have been poisoning US for decades … as well as the empty gesture of ‘recycling’ plastic nowadays.
Baloney. I’ve been using the same plastic bags for years now, and the same plastic drinking straw too. The heavy duty bags were actually very durable, but the thinner ones that replaced them are useless. If everyone used plastics responsibly, then we wouldn’t have a problem!
