On Friday, a truck driver who goes by Chicago Ray online said that other truckers are going to start refusing loads to New York City.
In a video posted to X, Ray claims he was told by at least ten other truck drivers that starting Monday they are going to stop going to NYC. “I talked to (3) guys that I work with who texted the boss and told him no (NYC),” he said.

“I do know how far across the country this is, or how many truckers are gonna start denying loads to New York City,” Ray continued. “But I tell you what, you f**k around and find out. Ok, We’re tired of you motherf**king leftist f**king with Trump.”
“Our bosses aren’t going to care if we deny the loads, we’ll just go somewhere else,” he noted. “By what I’m hearing, this is real. We’ll see.”
Chicago Ray went on to warn again to leave former President Trump alone, and that the fraud case against him in NYC amounts to “election interference.”
The trucker also recently applauded the Take our Border back Convoy late in January.

Attorney General Letitia James was seeking $370 million in damages after she argued Trump inflated the value of his business entities in the city with real estate pricing and accused him of engaging in a pattern of “repeated and persistent fraud.”

“I helped New York City during its worst of times, and now, while it is overrun with Violent Biden Migrant Crime, the Radicals are doing all they can to kick me out,” the former president noted before he called the decision “a Complete and Total SHAM.”

I wouldn’t bet the house on that. Trump is pretty savvy politically and knows supporting the truckers will bring him more votes, asking them to resume will lose him votes. New Yorkers aren’t voting Trump anyway so he has nothing to lose. If he wins the truckers go back to work anyway.
I would have to say that Trump is anything but politically savvy, but it’s all about perspective I suppose.

I’ve heard a lot of people say that. There’s no way that true dope or his gov would cave to the truckers because to do so would not just be visibly bad, but encourage that sort of behaviour. However, I find it quite interesting that within a month or so of their protest, they got almost everything they wanted. So maybe it did work, after a fashion, and the apparent lack of immediate results shouldn’t discourage others from doing the same when they see unrighteousness in the world around them.

I don’t understand the concept of the government filing a lawsuit against a private citizen. I realize that governments sometimes sue other governments (e.g., a state suing the federal government or vice versa), but if a private citizen breaks a law he should be charged criminally, and if he didn’t break a law then whatever he did shouldn’t be any concern of the government. But our justice system (both criminal and civil) is so messed up that I guess anything is possible nowadays. If Trump does actually have to pay the damages then it will serve him right for not even attempting to fix the problems with the justice system when he was president. But he will probably pay little of the amount. Endless appeals will keep it tied up in the courts for years, the verdict will probably eventually be reduced on appeal (or it might even be overturned completely), and he probably has some sort of business liability insurance that will pay some of it. And he will probably get more in donations from the Trumptards than he actually has to pay himself (there is a gofundme that has already raised $173,000).
Don’t break the law,truckers. Just take a few days off every other month.
The point of Trump’s tormentors is not to be legally correct on all points, rather to wear him down just like a pack of hounds does with a fox. Not sure if there is a remedy for malicious prosecution of a citizen by a government; if not, there should be with treble damages assessed against the perps and not against the political entity they represent.
