After Judge Engoron’s ruling, even the absurd Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul has been forced to come out because of rumblings of mass migration from NYC to Florida, where companies are welcome and there is no State Income Tax. There have been warnings that businesses are looking elsewhere and realizing that there is a MAJOR risk to doing business in New York state as a whole. Hochul has publicly been forced to try to reassure businesses that they have “nothing to worry about” after the ruling.
It appears that Socrates has predicted the outcome of Trump’s absurd prosecutions in New York, for it elected a Yearly & Quarterly Bearish Reversal on State revenues. New York will continue to lose high-net-worth residents, resulting in rising taxes on the fools that remain. There is no rule of law left in this city. Fining Trump for “fraud” when there were no victims and whatever you claim to be worth is reviewed independently by a bank anyway. Even Deutsche Bank admitted they gave the loans based on their own evaluations. – not Trump’s.

In a city engulfed in crime, Mayor Eric Adams has decided to cut the police force by 6000 officers. The result is NY police officers will be cut by 1/5, or 13.5%, by postponing the next 5 Academy classes, bringing officers below 30,000, down from 36,000. These are the numbers we saw in the 80s and 90s. This is being done to house and feed anonymous, unvetted illegal aliens from around the world.
The whole ‘defund the police’ idea may not be that bad. It’ll force people to consider arming themselves and perhaps increase job prospects for private security businesses.

Actually, that headline is incorrect, he did find racial bias in police shootings. Police are 25% more likely to shoot Whites than Blacks.

NY has truly turned into a hell hole.Most of my family who lived there have died or moved to more conservative states . The few cousins who remain are well off and can absorb the outrageous cost of living … For now. A cousin bought my aunt’s two story colonial in 1986. She paid 160 k. She just sold it for 800k . My aunt bought the house in 1962 for 20k .I asked her why she sold it ,simple the property tax it was 18 k a year unreal.
