lol, beat me too it! In 2020 I replaced an American made 27 year old, whole house 5 ton heat pump that finally quit. The made in China unit failed in three days! (compressor failed). The replacement (under Warranty) unit lasted less than two weeks! (multiple copper pipe solder joints failed, replaced under warranty).
Just yesterday, after the heat pump quit two weeks ago with a low pressure error, I paid $1190 for a leak test, copper pipe solder repair, and 13 lbs. of $55 per lbs. of R410a.
Fucking warranty only covers “parts” after 3 years, not labor or Freon. The future is lame, that is for sure!

My former wife still has the Kenmore refrigerator we bought in December, 1989 … it still works very well.
