So just like here the homeless , are fixed up to make people feel good . Then they are released back onto the streets with no jobs no hope no housing for the cycle to start again .

Its true, the root cause of poverty is not being addressed here, but also consider that what happened to this man could be life changing. Sometimes people just need a haircut, a bath, clean clothes, some treatment of wounds and most importantly the kindness and love of a stranger, to be a catalyst for a major improvement in their life. Its possible this man goes right back to being homeless, dirty, unkempt and sick…but there’s that small chance that cleaning him up and making him smile is enough that it may give him the morale boost he needed get out of his current situation into a slightly better one. Sure its probably unlikely in the country he is in, but just being cleaned up may result in him being respected more by others possibly resulting in additional acts of kindness and assistance. I think its a chance worth taking, and I think you can agree there was certainly no harm done, only good.

To me, it’s a variation on the theme expressed by Tennyson: ‘Tis better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.

An opposite, less cynical viewpoint…for one man, for one day,
somebody cared enough to clean him up and get him medical treatment.

What an amazing video. Transformation. Redemption / Renewal, even if temporary.
Selfless act of caring that went way above and beyond.

Go, and do similarly. To the best of your ability.
Win-win.

He reminded me of a slightly browner version of this old camp trailer living alkie I used to know ,” Coach ” is what they( all the other bottom feeders, pillbillies and meth and heroin addicts that were in his general orbit ) called him , a total loser and totally full of shit along with being a chronic alcoholic but we loved him anyway .The wife even took him down into town to get a haircut and paid for it . Rest in peace Coach .WTF? , just channeling my inner Steinbeck I guess , and yeah I really did care about the old fuck . Sorry if it wasn’t the sugar coated virtue signaling bullshit you wanted to hear .

To be MORE cynical…

Imagine caring about the billions of niggers in the world. Did you notice any of the other pajeets caring? Did you see the cattle forced to pick through garbage?
It’s like that rich faggot going around giving clean water to africans. What do you get? Healthier niggers, and then more starving niggers!

I guess you don’t get all the tiktok fame if you do something for whites?

ps: be kind……. to your own kind

Exactly … America first! Now if this young man was some entitled traveler on mommy and daddy’s dime, or had the means himself somehow, and was doing this on his own, the well and good.

There’s nothing wrong with charitable acts wherever they occur. But as I often heard as a very young child “charity begins at home”.

Absolutely … free will & freedom of choice and all that — doncha’ know? Not that I particularly care for “palestinians”, but any person his free to dispose of his property or his money as he sees fit.

Only one exception — if they aren’t simple, innocent “palestinians” but rather Hamas terrorists. Remember, Hamas is still classified as a “terrorist organization” by most of the Free World.

How can you tell who is a “terrorist”? Maybe I’ve spent too much time in the “free world” and can’t tell.

It’s well & fine to help the unfortunate of other countries, such as this old gent, but we have people right here in America who are in just as bad shape who could benefit from America’s economic largesse & should receive it first … but if this young man is doing this on his own dime and not through some USAID funded NGO, then more power to him.

Eric Peters….
The Consequences of Civility

It is difficult for people who respect civilities to be other-than-civil, even toward uncivilized people. This is a weakness that has led to the widespread incivility of our times. It is a mistake based upon the erroneous assumption of fair-play and well-intendedness. It is the same mistake made by a man who gets into a fight with someone who does not play by the rules. Who fails to grasp that in a fight, there are no rules.

There is only win – or lose – when you’re forced to fight…

In sum, these people – the uncivilized people – will never behave civilly toward us. They will never mind their own business. They will never agree to disagree. And they never fight fair – because (unlike civilized people) they understand there is only winning. They will do – and say – anything, if that’s what it takes to win…

If it becomes necessary to fight with the uncivilized – whether physically or otherwise – do not make the mistake of fighting fair.

Fight to win.

The Consequences of Civility

Having problems editing …

A question, though, about the elderly gentleman: those blackened feet/legs — is that a sign of gangrene, or just years of accumulation of dirt?

While it’s true that it’d be really great if the guy did some good in his homeland (which, presumably, is not India) … at least he did some good for someone — even if just for a moment, an hour, a day, a week …

Also, I seem to remember something about ‘If you did this for the last of my Brethren, you did this for Me.’ …

There’s also the Buddhist thought regarding deeds and karma: you must do the right deed for the right reason … what we know as action and intent … otherwise you’re doing wrong.
