YOUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK: $500 DRONE DESTROYS $10M ABRAMS TANK

So it goes. I guess General Dynamics will just get paid another $10M to offer up another tank for slaughter. You see, they really don’t care about winning or losing. They care about never ending war to fill their coffers with blood money.

Now, now, if we were to simply give them the money that would probably be just as good with them. Just take the manufacturing out of the picture, scrape up the resources needed an set them on fire and take a check. I’m sure it would be fine, fewer people maimed and killed too.

Decent drones are $800+. We’re not building them, China is. When are you/we going to get with the program?

Tanks are weakest at the back, top and below. A drone with a shape charge set off on impact could easily penetrate the top armour.

But, what the video looks like is a Call of Duty grab, much like the fighter planes ( ghost of kiev ) that were used earlier. To fake

I trust neither side, especially the ‘west’.

The video has the COD esk about it. From trees lined perfectly for a very long distance, and yet other view points shows groves of tree, to the exhaust from the back of the tank… looks COD… is it? don’t know but then neither do you.

I believe Russia acquired an number of nearly undamaged Abrams tanks from the Ukraine conflict and reverse engineered them to identify their weak points. The drones target the weak points.

I have watched A 10s turn tanks into swiss cheese,up close. Every piece of military equipment has been analyzed to figure how to take it out.i just don’t see a drone doing it.

the Russians came up with the P-tab bomb in 1943 to fight tanks.
small 1.5 kilo shaped charge warhead. they pack them in IL 2 and flew over the tanks dropping close to hundred of more per plane.
so simple. it worked very well in taking out lines of German tanks I have often found a lot of people saying and thinking that the Russians are stupid. well, think T-34
armor was only 45mm thick, but sloped at 45 degrees it makes it closer to 90mm and then too, most of the rounds fired at it bounced off.
weird is that most of the western world started sloping their armor after seeing
the effect it had with the T-34.
so, don’t try to tell me the Russians are stupid. they also lost or had more people killed in WW2 than anyone else. they don’t forget things like that.
the German army died on the eastern front. or most of them did.

The Ukrainian military is incompetent; everyone knows you only deploy MBTs in wooded areas, where the tanks can dart from tree to tree….

An additional 2 Mil for a half dozen combat air patrol drones to protect the tank. All flown from Langley by PlayStation geeks.

Let’s be realistic, Abrams tanks are 1970’s technology. Obviously they are not up to 21st century warfare with a very capable adversary that has weaponry equal if not superior to ours. Tactics have changed as well. It was foolish to think a handful tanks were going to change anything on the battlefield as they and their crew are nothing but cannon fodder for the Western elitists.

that will happen too. or it will be a drone of some sort. missiles with range can nail one wherever it is in the Med. or red sea. the problem is that the clowns in DC still think we can fight a war like Ww2 again. we can not. we do not have the factories, the machine tools or the skilled people to set up and run something like that again.
and shooting down a drone with a 2 million dollar missile is just insane.
in ww2 we used massive amounts of AA guns with proximity fuses to kill of the jap
planes diving on the ships. do we have anything like that anymore ?
any way to make them again ? if so, how long will that take to set up and do ?
now you see the massive problem with shipping all of our factories out of the country ?
I not even sure we could go back to that level of production again that we had in the 1940-50’s even if we tried, it would take many years to even get close to half of what we did back then. but what do I know ?

You are not totally wrong but yeah we do have Phalanx anti missile anti aircraft gun systems that are pretty impressive . We’ve actually had them since I was in the Navy , They installed them on my ship way back when when we we’re getting a major overhaul .

I’m skeptical that it’s an Abrams tank for two reasons; first that the exhaust is more consistent with being a piston driven engine since it comes out in “puffs”, the Aframs tank has a turbine engine, and the exhaust would be a steady stream as with a jet engine. Second the main gun is way too small.
