US federal budget crosses grim milestone as interest payments overtake defense spending
The United States has long had the world’s biggest defense budget, with spending this year set to approach $900 billion.
Yet this spending is rapidly being eclipsed by the fastest-growing portion of federal outflows: interest payments on the national debt.
For the first seven months of fiscal year 2024, which began last October, net interest payments totaled $514 billion, outpacing defense by $20 billion. Budget analysts think that trend will continue, making 2024 the first year ever that the United States will spend more on interest payments than on national defense.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s recently finalized Clean Power Plan 2.0 (CPP) rule, however, takes the country in the wrong direction. Under this regulation, one that is arguably illegal, existing coal and new natural gas power plants will be mandated to install emissions control technologies that aren’t yet commercially viable. Plants that don’t comply risk permanent closure. This unrealistic mandate is advanced under the guise of reducing greenhouse gas emissions 90% by 2032.

None of this applies to a physical trauma or emergent surgery so that distinction needs to be made. I know it should be obvious. ‘Should be’ being the operative words.
Trauma treatment is like going to a mechanic. Something is broken, they fix it and your body does the healing. That part has been going on for thousands of years and with some of the newer tools available like x-rays, it’s damn near perfect.
Allopathic medicine is the treatment of symptoms rather than causes and is almost always focused on pharmaceutical or radiation. It is long term, costly, and is not meant to solve the problem, but to make the patient able to endure the prolonged and continued suffering of a body that is unwell for maximum profitability.
That the two are conflated in the minds of the public is intentional. No one who cares about their health or that of their loved ones would disregard the efficacy and success of stitches, or casts for wounds or broken bones simply because they choose not to ingest chemicals.
Anyone who has lived long enough, has an average intelligence, and the ability to notice patterns can see that modern medicine- as I have described it- isn’t improving overall health, but making sickness something people get used to living with in perpetuity.
