There’s a question that RFK, Jr. might put to the governor, if and when they ever happen to debate

Here Bobby tells us what he’d ask the governor about what’s happened to the state of California (specifically, to San Francisco) on the latter’s watch. Although the entire interview is well worth watching, the part about the urgent need for real debates (starting at 3:22) is especially cogent.

Now, if, through some miracle, the governor should ever find himself in a debate with this Bobby Kennedy, I think that we’d all benefit from having him explain why he’s kept Sirhan Sirhan locked up in federal prison, even though it is beyond dispute that Sirhan killed no one in the Ambassador Hotel that fateful night of June 5, 1968.

It is beyond dispute that Sen. Kennedy was fatally shot from behind, and that Sirhan was in front of him when he fired wildly, wounding five (all of whom survived). Thus it is (again) beyond dispute that Sirhan did not kill Robert Kennedy, or anybody else. And yet, when the parole board voted to free Sirhan in 2021, Gov. Newsom blocked his release, which was blocked again this year.
